    Hello all,

Looking at picking up a white 05 SR5 4x4 with 187k miles on it tomorrow and was wondering if anyone can tell me what to look for other than rust and to inquire when the timing belt was replaced last, its currently unknown about when that was done, can anyone point me to a good kit to purchase to do that? Asking price on the vehicle was 8500 and I got them down to 7000. The vehicle also has a 3 inch rough country lift on it and cargo basket on top. Wife is expecting our first child so with 3 dogs and a baby on the way we decided to get something a little more accommodating for a carseat LOL (she doesn't realize this will double as a toy). Any guidance you all can provide will be greatly appreciated, planned upgrades will be installing back up camera right away along with weather tech floor mats throughout. Super excited to be here and to hear any mods y'all might recommend.

Also, does anyone know about replacing an SR5 hood with the sport? I like the scoop look, is it only for appearances? Is this an ignorant question? Hahahaha

    Semper Fi,
    Bill

Welcome from KY. Not sure on the timing belt, I’m guessing it’s a V8? With my Tacoma I usually go all oem parts.
