getting ready for a roadtrip with the wife and 3 large hounds and i'm strongly considering buying this ceiling net from Raingler. Just watched the install video and looks like a bit of a pain in the ass with popping panels and drilling mounts. Anyone install one of these and/or running one? Looks handy for when every cubic inch of usable space counts.

I've looked at the Raingler a few times but looking at the install, but like you say, it's a ton of work, and those panels aren't easy to get off and on without breaking clips. The lazy in me won out. I looked at the Blue Ridge one ... I heard that if you have people in the back it gets in the way, but I also had someone else tell me not really. @Tooly ... what's your review on the 2nd row?

I don't ever really have adults in the back but when I've sat in the back it does hit my head, but I am 6'4". But my 10 year old has no complaints. Also I only ever put light things like jackets or towels up there as anything heavy will shift and become a safety issue.

I had it installed a few years ago. Only held pillows or blankets up top. I could never get it as tight as the stock photo does when empty. Always kinda had a bit of sag to it but it did its job. Removed it when I got the Rago shelf, but just recently removed that as well.

Tried one, can't remember the mfg. Took it down and returned it. It blocked the view from my rear view mirror and made the back seat a "passenger free zone"...

You can make a DIY version with an ATV net, zip ties, and some paracord, and the install uses the grab handles and cargo area coat hooks so there's no real effort to it.

    Plus it's like $10, not $140!

I use mine so infrequently that a budget version makes more sense. I only ever use it to tuck clothes and such up into when I am sleeping in the back.
