Will Gen 5 or 6 fit Wheels and rims on my 2004 Gen 4 - 4 Runner?

I need new tires for my 2004 4Runner, it's got 265 x 65 R17 on right now.

I live near some of the only offroading suitable for 4WD on my island actually.

On facebook marketplace there are TONS of people selling brand new tires and rims from new 4runners for $600-$900. Even some TRD rims and wheels. Seems way cheaper and better.

Will Gen 5 or 6 fit Wheels and rims on my 2004 Gen 4 - 4 Runner? If not is the modification difficult/ expensive?

 

I believe 5th gen wheels will fit, but the bore on 6th gen’s is too small and it won’t fit.

 

5th gen is plug & play.

6th gen has a small centerbore and high offset, but you can buy specialized wheel spacers to address both problems.
