    Really enjoyed watching that as it's the first time I've seen a complete teardown of a 1GR-FE and it helped me understand some things about how engines operate.

    The high price for 1GR-FE cores point to low supply. A large percentage of the vehicles these powered are still in service. Whereas many GM trucks/SUVs were scrap after 10-15 years due to failed transmissions, fried electronics and wiring. Failures that cost a lot of time and labour.
