Uh, let’s say someone (me) recently changed the PCV and used a small amount of red loctite per said video. Should they (me) try to remove the PCV now and replace it or just leave it alone and not risk damaging anything?

I’m particular so I’d want to pull it off but the decision might already be made for you and you just don’t know it yet. :D

Website says it sets in a few min and cures fully in 24 hours, so depending on how much it could be at Texas Gorilla strength!

I don’t think my parents ever bothered with PCV valves and heck, even dad’s 200k mile RAV4 likely has the factory rear diff fill so you likely got a long time before worrying. (and hey, maybe you could spray some cleaner in there in 100k miles and cross your fingers as a workaround)

I changed it last weekend so I’m just going to leave it. I had planned to do my sons this weekend but didn’t get around to it so now I’m glad I didn’t!

Eh red loctite isn't really as "permanent" as this forum makes it seem.

For future reference this is my train of thought here...
Anti seize - "I'll have to do this again in x,xxx miles"
Blue loctite - "Don't want this to come loose on its own."
Red loctite - "This cannot come loose on its own. It might need some heat when I go to break it loose next time"

I use red loctite on certain suspension components, flywheel bolts, etc.

Don't worry about it too much!

    This.

I'm not sure how others use red loctite on here but they always make it sound like it's never coming loose. They must use an entire bottle per bolt.

I use a small amount and never have an issue breaking things loose.

Leave it alone until you need to change it again in 5 years or so, assuming you still have the vehicle (it'll be 15 years old by then). At that point, if it doesn't budge with a long ratchet, heat the PCV with an induction heater, then loosen while hot.
