    So,

I just picked up a new to me 2016 at around 78k miles. She’s coming up to the 80 mark and even though I just got her from a dealer and had a pre buy inspection done, I still want service. Should I just do the recommended, which is just an oil change? Or should I focus on specific things and have them essentially do all fluid changed etc?

Congrats on the 2016! Have 'em do all the fluids....start off ownership with fresh fluids and go from there!

All depends on what has been done. At 80k i would hope the transmission, differentials and other fluids have been changed. You will be planning on doing spark plugs as well as all those fluids at just over 100k anyway.

If all good just need to do oil changes every 6k or so.

If you don’t know the history of the vehicle I would do transmission, power steering, coolant, front and rear differentials, transfer case, oil and grease the driveshaft

That’s my thought too. I’m going to ask for the price point on swapping all fluids and starting clean.

Saved that for future use. I’m guessing after the 100k mark it just repeats then?

Well it was single owner and the carfax has consistent routine maintenance done. It was well taken care of but I get obsessive.

I wouldn't let transmission fluid go to 100k like that chart suggests, no matter the use.

Don’t be afraid to get quotes elsewhere too since the fluids are pretty routine work for any shop.

If you have a Costco membership, some dealers and shops participate in the 15% off parts/service but it can be a pain to search who participates since it’s gated behind inputting a specific ZIP and make.

But yep, oil, coolant, brake, transmission, transfer case, differentials, grease driveshafts. Check both air filters too.
