    Hi guys and gals,

Im new to being a 4Runner owner. I recently bought a 2011 Limited 4Runner and I am extremely unimpressed with the factory touch screen. Is it possible to replace it with something newer and not cause any issues with the rest of the functionality such as backup camera and phone linking etc. I’m an old fart so I haven’t kept up with modern tech. Thanks in advance. Every bit of advice helps.

I just replaced mine and they'll hook you up with everything you need. Plug and play.

Haha! Sorry. Went with Kenwood Excelon DMX809S. Really like it. It integrates with the stock JBL system flawlessly with the correct connectors supplied by Crutchfield. Even the surround with the upper vents looks OEM. BTW, I've still got the stock HU. Someone make me an offer!

    Thanks for the link!

I've been a fan of Crutchfield for a long time. They're generally my go-to for anything car stereo or random audio equipment related.

I've been back and forth about swapping out the head unit on mine since I got it.

Crutchfield or Trailgrid Pro and pick one. Stay away from Pioneer.
