After installing an RCI full skid plate set which pulled the front end down about 1/2" from stock, figured I would do a mild lift/leveling with the Eibach Pro-Truck set plus new springs. Just finished the install yesterday. On the front, I have PRO-TRUCK SPORT FRONT HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS with the ring set on the bottom/lowest position. For springs I installed Old Man Emu 2883's, listed to provide 2" of lift. And added Eibach Pro-Lift-Kit Rear Springs w/1" lift. After the install, the truck now has a REAR rake, with the front end about 1/2" above the rear. Doing the measurements and math, the rear gained about an inch, as expected, but the front gained a whopping 3.75", even with all that steel under the front end! Checked the part numbers and all looks right. Any idea what I did wrong? Thinking of pulling out the OMEs and reinstall the OEM springs on a higher perch. As it is now, there is too much CV joint angle to drive the vehicle. I welcome any suggestions!

Yes, you starting to get the Carolina squat look. A few observations, why mixing brands and components, OME, Eibach, etc. I would stick with one brand if possible as these things are meant to work together suspension wise. IMO.

If you want a level unit and keep the front as is, you need a 2" spring in the back at a minimum. I recommend dobinsons or the 2" from Icon. I say dobinsons is better and you can get more choices given the specs of the front. Beware the moment you load up the back, the more you the rake and it is annoying as heck (at least for me). I say play with a few hundred pounds and see how much height you lose in the back so that you can nail the right spec of the rear springs.

The 4R starting to look good. Keep going!

It seems to me the OP is happy with the back, and is looking for front options that will lower that end, not raise the back more...

When unexpected lift happens in front, often times people accidentally have the lower spring perches upside down.

    Could this be your issue?

Are you sure yours are the correct orientation?

those are heavy load springs, which could be the problem. Did they have medium load?

Y'all nailed it! I put the spring perch on upside down. Doh! Flipped them over and surprisingly it works out much better... lol. Photo showing before and after flip on the assembly.

Reminds me of when we put new front coilovers on our 2006 but had the opposite problem as you. I'd ordered the set for 2wd trucks, not 4wd. And the front end sat about 3" too low after install. Sure looked funny.

We all stood around the driveway in silence for a couple minutes, everyone scratching their heads before someone finally said "that don't look right". We were all thinking it lol.

On the rock auto site they were listed as being for "rear wheel drive" T4R. In my head I was thinking "all 4Runners are rear wheel drive". I still like to blame rock auto for that one!

Yikes, you could install a 5.7 liter, that would bring the nose down.

It sucks to have to re-do the whole disassembly / installation again but glad it was a relatively easy fix

    Looks much better now!
