Did a little project over the last few days. I randomly saw a maybe 2-3 yr old YouTube video of a guy talking about his 4th gen and he had a 5th gen TRD grille. I thought it looked great and searched the comments about how. There were lots of questions asking but no one knew and the owner said he bought it that way. I looked through Reddit and other 4Runner forums and I personally haven’t seen it again, but I liked it much better than the aftermarket TRD grilles that are available. Even the color matched ones. So I decided to try to make it on my own and if worst came to worst I’d just buy an aftermarket one ha. I think it turned out great! I really love the look. I still may add a piece of plastic across the opening in the middle, but for now, she’ll do. She’ll do just fine.IMG_6986.jpg IMG_6981.jpg

    Great job on that.

I’m a Satoshi grill fan myself, especially how the logo pays homage to the great Toyota 4WDs of the past.

Also makes an excellent strainer when you stupidly drive too fast into a water crossing.

Thanks. I have seen the Satoshi grills. I guess I was more meaning a 5th gen TrD grill on a 4th gen and not the mesh kind.

I think they all look sharp.

They definitely do! I almost went the mesh way, but liked this a little better and decided to try it. If it would’ve turned out poorly I probably would’ve gone the mesh way.

    Very clean! ;)

I went with the beloved TRD grille with no raptor lights. Ended up rattle canning the paint & clear coat.
