I've never seen an actual episode of this show. But I have seen plenty of bits and pieces on YouTube that are quite entertaining.

speaking of youtube, an episode of tinkerer's adventure dropped today and much of it under the skin applies to the hybrid 6th gen since they are the same vehicle underneath

Grab your preferred beverage, settle in, and get started, man! I think we covered 5 seasons over just a few weekends, haha.

The fact that he starts out the video referring to the FJ Cruiser as being "sought after" Made me immediately not give a shit. Maybe I'll watch it later.

    Edit: I'm watching now...

It seems weird that they seem to have given the Tacoma, gx, and 4Runner a beefier rear end than the land cruiser.

Also shows that they are not exactly the same vehicle underneath.

Ah yes, why would the sophisticated auto enthusiasts care about a vehicle sold here in the states closely related to the 5th gen 4R with a shorter wheelbase, offered with full time 4wd coupled with manual transmission. None of those contribute to effortless commuting 2-3 hours a day so why should anyone be interested, heck it didn't even have Apple Carplay or third row seating!

And if you can point to some cheap FJ Cruisers in good condition that no one is seeking after, I'm sure the rest of the forum would be most appreciative.

I don't even know what apple carplay is, nor do I give a shit.

If some people want to spend way too much money on a goofy looking shortened 4runner, that is their prerogative.

So the FJ is now somewhat sought after?

Cliff notes version is that he doesn’t like the LC. It seems like he could make his videos a quarter as long if he just got to the point.

The weird thing was that it seems like they kind of cheaped out on a few things with the LC while putting beefier parts in some of the other models. That doesn't really make sense to me, if they're trying to market it to the off-road crowd.

I think that they aren’t really marketing to the off-road crowd just people that want the off-road image. I doubt many real off-roaders want a hybrid system and all of its added weight and extra things to break.
