Just bought my Daughter 2006 SR5 Sport V8

This is my Daughters second 4 Runner, and she’s moving onto her third. (2016 Limited) The dealer won’t give her what it’s worth so I took it off her hands so she can use the money towards her “new” one. I don’t need it so I’m going to be flipping it. If I make anything on it I’ll give it back to my Daughter. It’s got 187,000 miles on it, garage kept, no rust, accident free, clean interior, all maintenance performed when needed, (I’m researching when the timing chain was done), Salsa Red Pearl with black cloth interior. Needs nothing. I need to find out what it’s worth and I’ll be putting it up on eBay. Any input on what a fair value is would be helpful. I’m personally thinking $8500-$9000 but maybe I’m off. I’ll post pics of it tomorrow.

 

Need more info on it. Is it V6 or V8? 4x4?

So I found my Daughter a brand new 2018 Limited with 3rd row seat, dark grey/ Black interior. $41,500 out the door, not including sales tax. She picks it up Friday so I’ll get her 2006 same day. I’m going to detail it including full claybar treatment. I’ll post some pics Saturday.

How much you thinking on selling it for? And what's the average MPG? On top of what's been done has there been any issues?

 

I think it should bring $8500-$9,500. Somebody at my daughters office realized she’s getting rid of it and now wants to buy it from me. I told my daughter to give me my check back and sell it to her for $8500. It’s worth every penny. My Daughter has owned it since 50,000 miles and has done all of the required maintenance. No accidents, no issues, never taken off road and garage kept. Windshield had a stone bruise so tomorrow it gets a new windshield. Tires are 60 percent, shocks are original so I would recommend replacing, however it rides great. Everything works on it. I planned on detailing it and clay barring, then ceramic coating with Hydrosilex. Should look real nice when I get done with it. If her friend at work takes it I guess I will have to find something else to do tomorrow! The onemthin* Imneed to verifynismthe timing chain. Not sure when they recommend changing on themV8 and when hers was done.unsure of the mpg....

 

I thought u don't change the chain? But I'm interested in it. Love to have that. Please PM if the FRIEND doesn't take it. Can you do the Kelly blue book on it and send me screen shot.

I personally drove it 6 hours on Tuesday to go look at a used 2018 Limited in mint condition. (3 hours each way) I went there with my Daughter with the intention of driving the Limited home. I didn’t even get out of the car once we arrived at the dealership and I saw dings, dents scratches everywhere. Specifically asked the salesman to make sure there were none! Also, baby car seats create issues on the leather and the rear seat where the car seat was is all deformed. Needless to say we walked away from the deal, which ended up working well. My Daughters 06 drove great.

 

I planned on posting pics after I detailed it but can post pics tonight if the other girl doesn’t take it.

This is a very original solid non abused 4 Runner. I’ll detail it tomorrow and update the photos. I’ll also get pics of it on a lift showing the frame. Frame is incredibly clean as well. This is a super clean all original vehicle that’s been properly maintained.

This is the first time it’s been at my own house where I can go through it...it’s amazingly clean. Can’t wait till I get my hands on it tomorrow! My Daughter has all the records, including when she bought it and off hand she believes it had less than 35,000 miles on it. She’s a young corporate woman. Very OCD!

Nice, I hear that makes for an "interesting" ride when the torsion arms are out front. Did you do the chop as well?

 

I’d like to say I did, but as a Rat Rod enthusiast, I saw this on eBay and had to have it. The guy that built it knocked it out of the park. I actually took this car, not by design, from Milwaukee Wisconsin to Fort Wayne, IN via toll roads. Incredibly great ride! BTW, torsion arms are stock position, just flipped.
