My local Toyota dealer sent me a service reminder. I have never bought a Toyota from them (on my 5th Toyota) they won't deal. I replied that they must have me mixed up W/another person because I have never taken any of my Toyota's to them. I just got & completed a survey from Toyota asking about the service. Here's what I filled in the comment's box about what they could do to get me to bring my 2023 4Runner in:
"Nothing. I don't trust any dealerships to work on my vehicle! Heard way too many nightmare stories of dealerships F'n peoples vehicles. Just go to the forums & read real owners opinions/stories!! 4runners.com"

its zip code based. I get "stuff" from my local Lexus dealer as well. I dont know if I completely agree that all dealerships are rip offs. Yes, Ive had horrible experiences - for example, took it for an oil change and they didnt change the filter. Totally pissed me off. But I also took it there for warranty work and they did a fantastic job (new front differential and wheel hub assembly) and they did awesome work. But yeah, for general maintenance, i will do it myself. I am fortunate though if I ever do need work as I have The Car Care Nut (TCCN) shop 5 minutes from my house.

I get those too from the area stealerships. I'm only assuming they are getting the information from a central national database like Carfax, etc does.

I had bad experience with multiple Toyota dealerships here in DEN CO from skid plate bolts not installed fully, stripped bolts, caught not changing oil and not doing tire rotation. For the tire rotation when I ask for the reason I got the answer "They have done the tire rotation twice".

Now I go to this place. Those who in DEN CO, have / know any complaints about this place let me know. I don't mind paying same dealership prices, I just need trusted reliable service.I went to this place few times now and so far so good.

Yeah but they never did this on my previous Toyota's? Maybe because I bought an oil filter from them when I did the 1st 5k oil change??
