New tail lights question

Want to upgrade my 2021 off road premium. Anyone have experience with 4 runner lifestyle, thinking of there new rouge tail lights? If not what brand? Would like the black/ tint look

 

I went with the Morimotos because of the 5 year warranty. All the other brands have only 2 years.

 

I have read that 4Runner Lifestyle is iffy but I didn't have issues with my one order.

This is my first time seeing that option of tails and they don't look too bad although I'm kinda meh about the tinted lens. Not sure if I like tinting my taillights so they work less. All the other options seem to want to look like a Ford product.

I went USR black housing for my Runner. They look just like stock but with a black housing.

 

I've never ordered from 4runner lifestyle but some have decent experiences and some don't. They are a reseller so check their pricing.

I have the alpharex red smoked For a couple years now and they've been great.

 

I have them from 4Runner lifestyle. Probably getting close to a year now. No issues at all. Work flawlessly. I think the complaints have been how they were boxed and thinking about it sure they could have been boxed better but they had adequate protection. I love them and they work incredibly well.

 

Which style did u get from them?

 

I installed the omotor stealth taillights (they look sick) https://omotorauto.com/products/new...lights2010-2024?_pos=1&_psq=stea&_ss=e&_v=1.0 but the sequencing is not working, tail lights work, hazards work, turn signal work but the DRL and sequencing does not work, any ideas?

As mentioned in post #2, I went with the Morimotos because of the warranty. Funny enough, I got them on sale, and I had to have one replaced after 4 months.

I’m sure you’ve long since made your decision, but I was looking to de-chrome mine. Here’s a before and after if it helps.

 

There are very few aftermarket tail lights that are as bright, or brighter than OEM in direct sunlight.

Remember they are safety equipment first, and a fashion statement second. Don't sacrifice light output for the sake of looking "cool".

I recommend OEM with Diode Dynamics tails-as-turn or Morimoto Gen 2's.
