Fox recently introduced their new DSC adjuster called the DSC "EVO" short for Evolution. The DSC EVO features Fox’s Variable Valve Control (VVC) on the high-speed compression circuit— technology first introduced on the Fox GRIP2 damper for mountain bikes in 2021.

If you're familiar with Accutune Offroad and all the Suspension Tech Articles we make, then you know this is right up our ally! We dissected the new adjuster and even put them both in our shock dyno to see if there were any performance differences. We are very pleased with the new design. Links to article & video are below. Enjoy!

Really appreciate the thorough coverage between the two designs. I have recently installed the DSCs and wondering if 1) it would be worth it to change over to the EVOs due to their easier adjustment or 2) can the EVO valve bodys be installed onto the 2.5 Elites?

Technically, you can add Fox DSC Evo Adjusters to any Fox 2.5 shock with a remote reservoir, but it’s an expensive upgrade because it requires swapping the entire reservoir assembly. Currently, we do not offer this as an upgrade option. It will also most likely be not enough of a difference to justify the cost.

Thanks for the response! I’ll file this under future consideration not that I’ll most likely never try to upgrade (but good to know if I ever run across some Evo parts somewhere!)

For the time being I’ll probably just make some slip-on knob levers to make adjustments easier.

It will definitely be a while before parts are readily available for the new DSC Evo.

Range Industries did make a pretty cool helper tool for the DSC adjusters. Either way, just need to be careful to not over tighten the knobs which can cause internal damage.

Already have a (simple) design but thank you for the link! I just need a little bit more leverage as the factory knobs kinda hurt my fingers!
