What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I dont know anything about those connectors. But when buying connectors it seems theres a lot of copper clad aluminum. Make sure if you have copper clad aluminum to design your system for amps that can handle and not copper. I accidentally bought a lot of the aluminum stuff.

 

Where can I get set of 4 Black lug nuts that came on my pro. @10k when I rotate tires want to ditch the lock lug nuts.

If you have ever purchased online from a Toyota dealer, be on the lookout as they typically do a 25%off sale with free shipping over $50 several times a year (they will email you). That's when I bought my black lugnuts (and windshield wiper refills, oil filters, etc.)

 

Yeah 6 lug nuts are $15.++ Plus shipping. Less expensive to either go to local Toyota dealer & pick up or Amazon.

 

No problem, I bought numerous stuff from Bam’s over the years but years ago they were great prices thru them. Things have changed so much on pricing.

I just bought a bunch of brake parts online from my local Toyota dealer.

When I went in to pick them up, I asked for a couple of additional parts that I forgot. In store, the parts were literally double the price of the online prices.

When I asked the parts guy what gives, he said he has no idea why there’s such a big discrepancy. His advice was to buy your parts online a few days ahead of when you need them as they can’t fulfill online orders the same day.

correct you are sir, and thanks. I have to be mindful of copper clad aluminum at work as well, low voltage electrical (AV). Honestly, my off-road lights aren’t like Baja Designs or anything like that. None of the loads are terribly high wattage. I’d be interested to dig deeper, inspecting my harnesses to see what the ratio really is inside the wire

RCI Pike bumper installed today..

 

yea it’s just spray and wipe..easy

 

fixed a failed deutsch wire lead that stopped both my new ditch lights (40w ea.) from operating simultaneously.
ran non-cladded copper 14awg trailer wire under hood to passenger side.
fully insulated the repair.

 

re-intalled full size spare tire now that rear crossmember rock crawler lights are operational. tie strapped the annoying wheel chain. tested rock lights again.

That bumper looks outstanding. How’d it feel making that first cut ?

 

Drove the 2011 "to" fill up with Ethanol Free Gas. I've filled it up 4 times with EFG and noticed an increase in MPG.
I was getting between 16-18 MPG with 10% ethanol gas and now I'm getting between 20-22 mpg with EFG.

It was daunting at first, but after a few cuts with a dremel..got into the groove. Painters tape and the clear instructions from RCI really helped. No gaps. Turned out great.

 

This bumper is very tempting. Just under $2k with a light bar and winch
