Hey y'all suddenly moved from third to 5th gen. I'm in shock I don't know what to do next. I bought a 2020 TRD Pro with the King 3 in suspension and icon upper control arms. 33x1250. Am I fucked? Mainly on parts. Everything King related is reasonable. But icon wants to charge me 300% more than what king charges me for essentially the same part any aftermarket hacks on the joints? Also these headlights are just as bad as my third gen any input there would be nice I'm sure it's been talked about ad nauseam. I apologize I'm new. And also rubbing! My new rig has 33x12.50 on 17-in Wheels only rubs in reverse. Looks like it's been possibly tubbed a little. It has been titled in Georgia four of the 5 years of its life

I’m not a suspension expert but from what I’ve read, the King stuff seems to be better than Icon. A YouTube adventurer I follow had a 5th gen with Icon suspension and she had several issues with it. She does a lot of Death Valley trails. I’d venture to say that she probably has done more trails than most of us on this forum.

What problems did she have? Asking for a friend...who might have icons on his 2021 white ORP.

I think the shocks themselves failed. Don’t recall exactly. The blogger wasn’t a car nut so her message was vague.

As I remember, she was having to get the shocks replaced about every 30k miles.

To me, this is ridiculous and signifies part is not fit for purpose. Unless that 30K is entirely on trails, then meh.
