Aftermarket Bottle Jack Mounting Solutions?

Bought an aftermarket 6 ton bottle jack that’s better at jacking up lifted trucks. Problem is it won’t fit in the OE jack compartment. Anyone have a clean mounting solution for aftermarket bottle jacks? An upright mount preferably. Don’t trust these things to stay leaktight if mounted otherwise or thrown in a tool bag. It’s heavy enough to do some real damage so I definitely want to secure it some way.

 

There may be enough room under the hood where a 2nd battery would go. You would need to fab a bracket, or a 2nd battery tray might work.

 

Storage cubby area in back cargo next to power unit. If it’s slim enough it fits in there perfectly.

 

Lucky sheds is correct, I've got a Sprinter bottle jack wedged with a towel to keep it upright. Also a breaker bar with socket as the tire shops/dealer tend to over-torque the lug nuts.

 

That's a great spot. Been contemplating what i could put there my self. Likely will put a large a 7.62 200 round ammo can there and bolt it down at some point.

 

That’s a great solution. Any other ideas? My fender cubby is already stuffed with a compressor, a jump starter, a tire repair kit, and an Element fire extinguisher.

 

Yes, I’m now thinking the easiest most flexible way is to buy a combination of one of the many prefabricated battery mounts / tray / boxes out there with the best fitting ammo can. One can throw other tools in there too and the ammo can be removed if needed. Also keeps it all out of the cabin.
