New member here, sorry if posted in the wrong forum. Is there anyone in the San Diego area that would be willing to loan me the ECGS tools for removing the needle bearing/installing the bushing? I live near Poway. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum from Wisconsin!

You're in the right sub-forum. Hopefully you find one in your area. In Wisconsin, we have one that's been all over the state. :D

Keep an eye out in the for sale section.

Sometimes guys just give it away or sell it for cheaper once they use it.

Good call! I'll keep an eye on it, if no one has one for loan I just might buy the set and then flip it on the marketplace. Thanks

Another welcome from Wisconsin! You could drive up to San Jose and maybe Thacrow will help you put it in.... saves you the extra trip. I saved our tools for the job and they actually came in handy when a friend did the install on his 4Runner.

Im recovery from an ankle surgery.

I would be very happy to say words and point at places on the vehicle and explain how it needs to be done.

Edit: and I have a nice flat driveway and all the tools.

If I lived closer to San Jose I would be tempted to ask if I could just do the work in your driveway! Thanks for the offer though. Good luck with the surgery recovery.

It might be worth checking Tacomaworld, as well. I believe the 2nd and 3rd gen Tacos had the same issue. Plus, TW has a lot more traffic.

Thanks dude. If you ever change your mind, its a very flat driveway. You're 4runner probably would never fall off the jacks. Very ideal driveway.
