I’ve been on the hunt for an OEM exhaust for a year now. Agree with MartyG, they don’t seem to ever show up in junkyards, FB Marketplace, forums, etc. I switched out the TRDP exhaust on my ‘21 for a magnaflow kit. It has less drone but is still too loud for my taste.

I called my local dealership parts department and they quoted me $800 for the two parts. No way I am paying that.

I sure hope you can get that figured out because you have a freaking awesome looking rig very cool color also nothing worse than driving around with a muffler sound that you can’t standD9B823EE-7000-4B0D-8192-70F794D96107.jpg

If you're trying to get back to a quiet exhaust, I wouldn't consider the Pro exhaust swap. Quite a few Pro owners have swapped with non-Pro owners.

If you're in austin I'm trying to get rid of a 2023 TRD ORP OEM Exhaust, low miles on it.

Borla exhaust, Jet MAF sensor, K&N filter, Hayden rapid cool transmission cooler, Hella horns, electric fan, Pedal Commander, Derale power steering cooler,
I have a Borla touring I bought for $700 from Amazon a few Christmas ago and it's just enough without droning or sounding like a bumblebee in a pop can. It was cheaper than a TRD exhaust and all stainless steel with 1 million mile warranty. I heard a TRD Pro exhaust and it sounded noisy on the outside at low speed. This was an accident that actually worked out well.

OEM non pro exhaust are very quiet.
On the other hand, I understand there is quite the drone with the TRD Pro exhaust.
Only responding to OEM stuff. No knowledge on Borla etc...

The problem is no matter where I look I cannot find a regular exhaust easier to find the TRD pro exhaust.there are 2 in my general area . It's got to be better than the flowmaster I have now that sounds absolutely terrible, very loud

After a good maybe year? Or slightly less than a year with the Pro exhaust I can tell you that yes, it is noisy. I happen to like it and I don't mind it, but it does make listen to podcasts harder on long trips vs the OEM exhaust. Someone said that, I disagreed. But after some time, I tend to agree.

That said, I don't think the Pro exhaust is a complete disaster as people make it out to be. Its really one of those, it depends on the person, their hearing, sensitivity, what they tolerate and don't. It is highly subjective.

As far as my OEM exhaust, I'd be willing to let it go for a deal if you're local to Austin, San Antonio, or Houston. Its taking up space in my garage that I rather not take up.

Will I ever want to install the OEM again? Possibly - I can see a future that looks like that, but who knows. For now, I'd like to get rid of it.

the droning after 6 mos was horrible for me. Family also hated on the first round trip from Pa to NC.

I replaced my pro exhaust for the OEM exhaust (kept the side exit though) almost a year ago.
I still have my Pro exhaust and can fairly easily put it back (just a couple bolts to remove) but I have not done it so far.

Here are the scenarios when I wish I could have the pro exhaust and the oem exhaust.

    Pro exhaust:
    - feels more like a truck, mainly on cold starts
    - when offroading I like hearing the low rumble when crawling and hear the truck "roar" when flooring it in the desert
    - dampens the road noise from AT tires (mainly with low tread left)
    - doesnt sound great but still better than OEM

    OEM exhaust:
    - long road trips, much nicer when it's quiet (I feel a lot more tired when driving with the pro exhaust for 6 hours straight)
    - listening to podcasts/radio (music doesnt matter as much)
    - going up hills on the highway or anytime the truck downshifts from 5th to 4th/3rd gear when going 65+ mph, it is LOUD with the pro exhaust so OEM wins here

    Neutral:
    - daily commutes

For now, I use the 4R mainly for roadtrips or going offroading in places that are ~5-6h roundtrips (usually highway driving from 1000 ft to 7000ft) so i'm still keeping the OEM on for now. I do miss cold starts or "feeling the truck" sometimes though.

I would love an exhaust with open/close valves to have the best of best worlds.

So I guess what I'm really looking for is the regular OEM exhaust but again impossible to find at this point All that I find available on Facebook and other places like that is the TRD pro exhaust.

I do wonder what it would cost to ship you mine. Probably prohibitively expensive.

stock exhaust pipe have 2 bolt flanges while the pro side exhaust has 3. I cut, swapped and welded them back in so i can keep my side exhaust but with the quiet OEM muffler.

Got it it dose make sense to keep the side exhaust. I was driving with a trailer cargo rack with luggage on it and the exhaust melted a bag and ruined some of the contents inside , on the bright side it was my mother in laws bag LOL . You only make that mistake once.
