    Hey all,

Recently acquired a 2016 4runner sr5 4wd with 100k miles on it. Went to drive it today and the power windows and a/c didn't work. No sunroof. Rear hatch window works fine. Any ideas? Everything else works, no lights on, nothing reading on my reader. Done sleuthing and haven't come across diagnosis. Completely stock except for not my style wheels

    Thanks for any help

Are the windows inop on their respective door switches only - or on the master switch on drivers door also?

Possibly turn on power, push the window switch on each door down and HOLD in down position to the count of 5-7 -release and then hold in the up position for same 5-7 count - repeat for each window. This was called a self-recalibration when I worked in service. Happened a lot after electrical issues or repairs, accidents and battery replacements. Hope that helps.

I have. Maybe missed one. Weird that two things would be blown though

inop on all switches, driver door and respective doors. Are the windows and a/c on the same ground maybe?

Unknown if on same - possibly body harness compromise.

    Have you checked for rats?

Maybe some critter in your hood went to town on some wires?

Goodness better not of. My Trail had an injector wire chewed while hunting, my fj had a knock sensor chewed at a previous house, then this would be outrageous

Happened to me. It is the fuse under the driverside dash EVERYTHING you mentioned is controlled by that one fuse. Cant remember which one but it started with an E

Got it. The fuse is labeled ECU-IG 2 it is the fuse panel in the cabin on drivers side. Its a 10 amp fuse at the bottom of the fuse panel

Here is the thing. Something made that fuse pop. For me, it was when i tried to tap into the rear view mirror for a radar detector. OP - were you doing something?

When you guys replace fuses, are these like OEM Toyota fuses? Or just like the “assortment” fuses you would get say in a little plastic container. Of course matching color/amperage

Yeah that's the thing I've been wondering.. When I bought the rig, the two wires for the power rear view mirror are disconnected. I tried putting them back in the connector last week. Didn't get it to work so pulled them back out. However, I have used the windows and AC since then.. Maybe the two live wires touched and popped the fuse. That is the only thing I have done, and since you were messing with the rear view that must be it

Just the assortment mini fuses. You can use whatever brand you'd like. There are 3 extra fuses in the engine fuse box with the tweezer type tool to get them out

thats actually a good thing that you at least know what the cause was. Exactly like mine, playing with the rear view mirror. Did you tape them off to prevent them from touching again?

I did. I should just fix it. Do you happen to know which port the blue wire plugs into and which one the white one does?
