Looking for an unsold ‘24 4Runner

Hello! A new member here. I have a ‘12 FJB Edition FJ Cruiser and my wife and I are looking for an unsold ‘24 4Runner TRD Pro. Does anyone have an idea of where I need to start? I’ve been on most of the car sales apps but haven’t had any luck. Thanking you in advance for any help.

 

You can look for something forgotten on a lot somewhere but I don’t think the odds of finding a new ‘24 are even remotely in your favor.

My best bet would probably be the lowest miles used, maybe someone out there made some poor trade-in decision.

What I would do if I was in your shoes...

Search cars.com for 2024's (entire country within range you wouldn't mind driving) and find one with lowest miles and best price. Call Dealer and secure a deposit on the vehicle. Book a one-way flight and make a road-trip out of it. Sell your 2012 locally privately once your 4Runner is in your possession. This will be as close to new as possible and you won't be subject to your local market.

My parent's really like the FJ Cruiser and I'm disappointed they don't make it anymore. I gave my old QX4 to them to get them by.

I did a search for new 2024’s for the whole country and came up with 22 results but none of them show photos so they probably don’t exist except for a White SR5 premium in Florida that actually has dealer photos.

 

I sincerely appreciate the effort you guys are putting forth for me. My wife and I are in my FJ on I-81. We left Huntsville, AL this morning on our way to Roanoke, VA to see the grandchildren. Then back to West Virginia.

SLO Town is gorgeous in the springtime. I went to college there many moons ago. But I understand.

You're welcome RetiredMedic! Maybe the way to go is the Cars.com and/or cars gurus and see if you can find a real low mileage CPO 2024. I "lucked out" finding mine last summer as I could get any model any color as long as it was the ONE they had on the lot

I think the your only chance of finding a brand new untitled 2024 (of any trim level) is getting one that is coming out of the port very late due to repairs or a parts shortage. I have seen a couple that fall into this category but nothing in the last 2 months. Unfortunately, I think that ship has sailed for you and your best bet is to find an ultra-low mileage '24 that someone traded back in for whatever reason.

 

I think I found a ‘24 TRD ORP with 5 miles on it. It’s almost 5 hours from where we live. Now if I can talk my wife into it before it’s gone.

 

When I was ready to buy my ‘24 I only wanted a specific model (ORP) and color (Solar Octane), otherwise I’d just keep my ‘21 SR5-P. I’m just north of Houston. Found one in Vegas but it was gone before I could put down the deposit. Same in Phoenix. Somehow I lucked out and found one in San Antonio that wasn’t delivered yet and not spoken for. Put down the deposit and 2 weeks later drove 3-1/2 hours to pick it up. I had worked out all the details via email, including trade in, OTD cost, everything. I hope your deal 5 hours away works out. In the end you won’t even remember the drive, only how happy you are with your truck.

 

Drove 14 hours to get mine. Made a road trip out of it and really enjoyed it. Hope you find one
