There's probably a thread on this already, but I couldn't find it. If Toyota would build your ideal 4Runner, what would it have?
For me: a manual transmission and a heated steering wheel (a luxury I never dreamed of needing, but when I had it on my last cars, it sure was nice on my increasingly achy hands)

Keyless entry. Better headlights/fogs (HID/LED?). Heated Steering Wheel. Larger nav screen with hard plastic or glass instead of the existing soft surface. Push button tailgate close. Larger rear wiper. Tire pressure numbers (somewhere).

I'd love to be able to check fluids (as much as is practical) without having to take it to the dealer (ex. Diff/trans).

Solid front axle and a V8 truck power plant. Manual trans. No safety bullcrap or push button start like the list above. :p

:D That actually could happen on the new one. An probably wouldn't be a bad thing.

I'd consider it. I definitely like the low end torque an electric motor provides. Those bigger tires might not feel as big.

Imagine a small electric motor at each wheel though. That would allow for some serious offroad 4x4 capabilities.
