Same here. I get bright-lighted much less after a slight downward adjustment.

You guys that have the XD hid's.... how do you think the 48k Philips would match to these 65k leds as fogs?

Not well considering the difference in temperature rating.

Is anyone concerned with non DOT approved lights not being covered/insured by your insurance company in case of an accident?

So, the XD retros are not DOT-compliant?

I have the Phillips yellow fog lamps. They are nice and work well but are kind of getting over powered now by the Phillips HIDS. :D. Meaning I can't see them as well after the HID upgrade as I could with the stock bulbs.

You’ll have to inquire if they are DOT compliant or not. Most/all of the aftermarket lights on these threads are not compliant. Therefore, your insurance carrier could choose not to cover you in the event of a claim. Way too much risk for me for some spooky lights to become bankrupt.

Looking at picking up the XD kit for my 2019 4Runner TRD Pro but I'm not sure if the PWM Module ($29.99) is needed or not?

I think 4300 gives you the xenon white look without getting into the psychedelic blues.

I installed the xenon depot 5k HID kit yesterday. Pretty happy overall but there’s a yellowish color that I’m not too happy with. I emailed xenon depot and am awaiting their response. Need to adjust mine down for sure. I drilled a 1” hole and used the grommet and used electrical tape on the outside of the dust covers. Here’s a photo of the beam pattern and color output.

i have the baja designs fog ambers, if they were on the entire house and block would be lit up. Of course they weren't on.

xenon depot responded to my email and has stated that the bulbs need to be "broken in" for 20 plus hours before the colors are fully set. I'll see how things go during the next week.
