    TRD PRO STOCK
So I bought a 2018 4runner TRD Pro last year. I got 26000 miles on it. It looks new and is excellent condition. Im looking to sell it because of the growing family, but it seems like dealers and KBB value it based on lower models, not taking into consideration the rarity of the TRD PRO. Anyone have any clue what it should be worth? Once again, looks like it did when I bought it and has 26k miles.

PS. I didn't buy it because i wanted to resell it, because everyone says it has a higher resale value. I bought it because I've always wanted one and love how they look. But now that im selling im looking for some advice so i dont get dicked by a lowball offer. Bought it for 44K

It's not rare but that said I would put it out there for 44K and see what happens. I honestly don't think you will have an issue selling it for what you paid or almost what you paid for it especially if you are in Cali or other major populated area.

Yes very true its not rare, what i should have said is harder to get your hands on:) awesome i will try out 44k thank you. when i bought it it was the only new one around in a 80 mile radius, and luckily i was the first one out of 10 on an 8 month wait list for the thing. so hopeully at 44k someone will snatch it up quickly. thanks for the help!

They are definitely sought after that is why I don't think you will have an issue selling it fairly quick. What are thinking about getting next?

Keep it $44k and lowest is $42k because of the higher mileage in a year. TRD PRO’s are rare and market demand is higher everywhere just don’t rush to sell it otherwise they will low ball you on it. If you have the specialty color that’s even better.

Get an offer from someone, somewhere. If you dont have any offers then its worth that. Also, look at what they are being listed at in your area. 44k seems about right though.

I'm thinking that's a lot for a year old but that's just me. Also, 26,000 miles although not a lot is up there for a year old. Can't hurt to try.

If you have Calvary blue, I'm sure someone is willing to pay for it.
Black or white pro's will not have the value you're looking for.
2017 Cement is the most sought after.

thanks for the replies guys. so someone offered me 46k on my craigslist listing. mine is the white one. ive listed it at other places for 44k. craigslist was listed at 46k. its been listed everywhere for a week now so it seems its starting to gain some traction ive had a few people inquire about it. so im thinking i will keep it between 42-46 depending on the motivation of the buyer. i got the 46k offer from the guy written out and signed so i can show it to others as proof

For a one year old 4Runner pro that is kind of high mileage but that still don’t matter it’s a Toyota. You should still be able to get close to what you paid and I mean close. I watch the prices on auto trader and all the dealers are asking for used high dollars. I have a 17 White Pro I bought new. Depending on your situation you can hold out till you get what you want. I don’t drive mine a lot because I use my other car for work to put the miles on. My 17 is only going in today for it first oil change at 6400 miles. I have 2 dealerships close to me that I deal with and they already told me that these are so hard to get. The one dealership is modding a standard 4runner to look like a Pro for customers because they can’t get one.

I doubt anyone on Craigslist is serious about something that expensive. I would not waste my time dealing with that lot of people.

I totally agree if you have a written offer where you paid or a little above take it. Personally I just don't see the attraction with this make vehicle I mean it's not a limited production Vette, Porsche or something collectable.

A local dealer here has a 2016 with 42,000 miles for 42,500. They have had it for a long time.

If you bought the car for 44,000, put 26,000 miles on it and someone is offering 46,000, why haven't you already sold it.

Went to AutoTrader and found 2018 Pro's with half the mileage of yours selling for 44,000 to 46,000.

The majority of people that cruise CR do not have the means to pay for a rig like that. They are daydreamers. Plus who wants to deal with all those idiots that waste your time.

Ha I see SO MANY 4Runner owners trying to make their 4Runner look like a Pro model. It's hilarious.

Nothing wrong with the look. I can make an Off Road LOOK like a Pro for less than half the difference in price, so why pay a premium for a few cosmetic trinkets and a suspension system that you can have for 1800 or so. Or like many people do, replace the Pro factory suspension after paying the premium for the Pro. And I can have KDSS with the Off Road. So in reality it's all about look and not function.

A Pro grill can be had for 125.00, a skid plate for 500 or so, the side emblems are probably 125.00 and a 2 1/2 or 3" lift suspension for under 2,000. Or, I can get a take off Pro suspension that some Pro owner paid for and didn't want for 6 or 700.00. So to me its hilarious to spend 5,000+ for what you can have for half that. But to each his own.

By the way I am getting a Pro grill because I like the look, but it doesn't seem to improve the performance of my rig at all.

I thought it was going to add 5" of ground clearance, but it didn't.

UDPATE---- pretty much all the assholes that offered 44-47k came and checked it out, and then proceeded to low ball me with insanely low numbers. one guy offered 29k, even brought the cash with him thinking i would shit myself with joy seeing 29k in cash. anyway, someone is coming tomorrow from 7 hours away and we agreed on 41k. got it for 44, drove it A LOT, and only "losing" 3k. Gunna take it

Loosing 3 grand is not bad. That is still good amount of money for the Pro. I would do it with mine if I was selling.

That is a good price for the buyer, you could probably do a little better if you wanted to push it. It is a hassle to sell a vehicle.

Totally true. Hard to sell anything really. Especially motorcycles. People are so lazy or in debt these days. Easier to go to the dealer and get a insta loan vs dealing with the bank or paying cash. It's crazy cuz they would rather pay more for new instead of doing a little work and getting a good used deal.

    The same 4Runner everyone has
Had a "buddy" from work who was interested in buying my motorcycle, so I told him he could borrow it for the weekend and if he liked it, he could buy it. I purchased one of my first cars this way from a friend's dad (an old Beetle) and I thought it was really cool and generous of him to sell the car that way. I bought the car and put 50K trouble free miles on that old Bug.

Anyway, this was a really shitty idea for my work "buddy", who kept the bike for over two weeks while I hassled him every day to either bring it back or buy it. Kept making excuses, like it wouldn't start or a family member passed away and he had to miss work. In the meantime I had to turn down two potential buyers when I told them I couldn't even show them the bike. They probably got spooked and thought I was some kind of scammer.

I got close to thinking I'd have to file a police report for a stolen vehicle. He finally brought it back to work after two weeks and then tried to lowball my price, and asked if I would take payments. Couldn't believe it. He also knocked off a mirror and put almost 150 miles on the damn thing, which meant he had plenty of opportunity to bring it back when asked.

I was lucky he did bring it back, because he got fired the next week and I dread to think of the hoops I'd have to jump through then. Found out later that all kinds of people had problems with him "borrowing" their stuff that way.

    Never again.
