Audio / Nav system rebooting

The audio / nav system started to reboot every few minutes. Took it to the dealer. They did a firmware update. Same issue persisted. Dealer said it was the system itself. Bought a used one on eBay and installed it. I then installed the Nav SD card from the old unit cuz it was several years newer. Same issue with the second unit! Rebooting! Then it dawned on me, it’s the SD card. I pulled it out and no reboot!
It was the aftermarket SD Nav card the entire time! So if you are getting the reboot problem, it’s that cheap SD card you bought. Got the OEM SD card, no issues!

 

It's usually the smallest thing that makes the biggest problem! Glad you figured it out.

I updated firmware and installed the map update sd card purchased from Amazon.

(Now there is a newer map update available in Amazon. Just fyi if anyone think to the map update I purchased.)
