    Coming soon
    Hi everyone!
My name is Jmo and I am the new owner of a 2008 4Runner Limited 4x4.
    AND I FREEKIN LOVE IT!
Looking for a little advice and info on lifting it.
Ive ordered a kit from yotamafia.com that includes

Bilstein 5100 shocks front and rear, front has adjustments to 2.5’’
    OME 885 2.5” front coils
    OME 895 2.5” rear coils
    SPC upper control arms
I also ordered extended rear brake hoses.

Do i need to get aftermarket anti sway bars or anything else?

I just sold a f150 I bought with a 6”lift on it and it road like crap but it had Oem shocks and just big spacers...35’tires and wobbled like crazy over 45mph and didn’t steady till 75mph.

I currently have 265/60r/18 tires, and looking for advice on tires, i dont want to go to big, def not over 33”, Ive been thinking of going with a m/t tire or a m/t hybrid tire. Looking for options that dont give a ton of noise and are good on highway. This 4runner would mostly see Forrest service/fire service roads, and maybe some muddy grassy hills... no crawling or anything.

Do i have to do a body mount chop if I’m at 32-33” or only if i had 35” tires?

    So many questions...

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

    -JMO

Nice car! I am looking into doing the same lift. Do you have any photos of after the lift was installed?

Bilstein 5100 shocks front and rear, front has adjustments to 2.5’’
    OME 885 2.5” front coils
    OME 895 2.5” rear coils
    SPC upper control arms

    Thank you!

Hey man, I know this is not what you are asking but under coat that frame as soon as you can. Use oil-based under coating, don't let salt on our roads touch it. I had 03 4runner here and had to sell it because frame was rotting. I know 2 places here in NJ where you can get it, or you can do it yourself. Fluid Film/Woolwax are both good. I can see some rust on the hitch , might be worth looking under the truck before you spend any extra money on tires, mods etc

If you have not already changed all the lubes under hood and underneath vehicle, I suggest doing that now. While under truck you can assess rust to know if any scraping is needed before the undercoating anti-rust product of your choice. Most vehicles on the road do not have grease zerk fittings anymore, so your drive/propeller shafts could be neglacted

The 285/60-18 General Grabber ATx is a great tire that is wide, looks tough, and rides great. It does great in snow, rain, and heat. I have had a blast with them wheeling in the snow and sleet and ice before and been one of the few vehicles driving when it was real bad out. This particular size will fit on your vehicle with a +2.5" up front with no rubbing.... You "MIGHT" have to move the inner fender liner forward i cant remember if i had to.
You can also get this same tire in a 285/65-18 but thats a bit taller and you might rub more. The 285/60-18 is what i have and i absolutely love them. They are somewhere around 115,000 miles old now and they are still going. I told myself i was going to get them to 125,000 but i really think i am going to get 130,000+ out of them.

The 2.5" rear springs are going to be overkill unless you plan to load it down heavy. I have +2.5" up front, and i have a 1" spacer in the back and mine is STILL a bit higher in the rear than the front. You putting 2.5" springs up front and out back is going to make the rear REALLY tall.

Its not typically recommended to put the lift springs up front on the adjustable coils, AND THEN adjust the coils higher. It is recommended to run the lift springs on the bottom clip on the adjustment settings of the shocks.
