Seems nice. Hoping for one that either does front and back or a front and daisychained rear cam.

2018 TRD ORP, 275 KO2s, predator step bars, Pro Grille, Gobi Rack, K&N Cold air intake (love the sound it puts out). I installed eibach shocks that gave it a 2.5inch lift. My question is, In order to get a 3 inch lift I’ll need to change out control arms as well as whatever $2k additional worth of work gets me. After I’m done with my 275s, I was looking at the 285s. If I was to complete my lift for more clearance to do off-road adventures, does anyone know if I’ll be good sticking with the 275s? Or would it look out of place without the 285s? I ask as I only have 6k on these tires. I’ve already dropped a small fortune in a short time, however I had a blast doing it! Love this rig! 42 inch blacked out Curved Heise bar and ditch lights go on in 2 weeks.

    Hey Chris,
Speaker upgrades were best for the boring stock system. Unfortunately, I decided to wait for the next Gen Runner and pulled them all out and sold my rig.....

    The list is getting shorter!

Installed the front OEM TRD Pro valance replacing the OEM silver Off Road valance. I removed the front bumper instead of trying to fight with the tight areas where the clips are. Took me about 30 minutes start to finish. I may do the rear tonight.

That's a big gamble since the 6th gen may not be as nice as the 5th gen. Never know what they're going to do to it.

Next project is the cold air intake.....

Cold air intake is a noise maker/wallet lightener, that's about it.

I'm so afraid they're gonna do to the 4runner what they did to the Tacoma. Some weird fuel-saving engine that just doesn't drive like a truck anymore.

Also hope they don't make it more "car-like"... like what they did to the Nissan Pathfinder and Ford Explorer. They essentially took trucks and turned them into them cars.

True. But Nissan already had the Murano and still managed to mangle the Pathfinder.

I'm not arguing with ya... I just really don't wanna see the 4runner change too much!

Agree, I think the highlander and 4runner are too close in size for Toyota to have both as car based utes

We all hope so. Given the way Toyota has been screwing up lately, who knows what will happen? I do remember a high ranking member of Toyota saying something about a more off road based vehicle coming but there were no details beyond that statement. One thing for sure is Toyota has a lot of ground to make up especially in the truck department.

It was snowing outside so I wasn’t able to get it out to see what kind of sound difference, but just hitting the throttle in the garage I could tell a difference. I don’t think it’ll be as loud as the K&N since the S&B is in the enclosed box.FD21A5D9-DF1F-403C-ABA0-1D45D0CBDEE6.jpg

    6" does miracles if 3" does wonders....LOL

    20180520_173043(sml).jpg

I just got my set of KC HiLite FLEX ditch lights in today....(picture below from their website, not my truck, yet)

    upload_2019-1-9_20-25-19.jpg

HOPEFULLY, I can find sometime to install em this weekend!! The weather went from 40-50 down to low 20's (in a single night). So not sure I wanna freeze my fingers off to install them. The cold makes it a whole nother level of hell for my old ass. LOL

Also got some work done on the 'modified' front skid plate...finally. Still has some more work needed, but we were able to get it on the truck with the FabTech 6" lift modifications. We cut the shit out of it after we pulled it off the truck when we lifted the truck, hahah. Part of the modifications we made were to cut an opening allowing easy access the oil filter from below. Who wants to have to unbolt the skid plate for every oil change, right?

The front 2 mounting points are causing us some trouble with the anti-sway bar. Can't see it from this angle, but the bolt on the right comes in contact with the bar and I had to pull it off until we can fabricate a better 'mounting' solution. The plan is to coat the plate (once mods are completed) with bed-liner coating to both match the grill/valance and to help it 'disappear' (visually) when looking head on.
