New to 4Runners. I had an '07 FJ Cruiser I loved with similar drive train. But got mobility limited with age and health issues, so just can't do what I found pleasure doing anymore: "wrenching." I used to build custom frame up hot rods and Harleys. Now I just do my best to keep active and wife loves the color of this Lime Rush 4Runner.

I came here because I ran into my first issue beyond simple INTERNET search for answers and always found forums with vehicle in question are the best to hear from others with experience and in the know. Helped me many times in the past as social media is now what it is today.

Thank you for the access to this forum and new friends. :)

Yes, I really enjoyed my FJ. At 260,000+ miles though, I couldn't keep up the maintenance anymore, which thankfully was limited.
They say getting older is better than the alternative - I live up to that each day ;)

I used to build most everything I drove or rode (frame-up customs). But as I got more and more mobility limited with age and now keep driving to a minimum - I expect this to be my last vehicle purchase.

Welcome! I too did all my own wrenching until I bought my new 2019 4Runner.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate photos of your hot rod and bike builds.

I have been Navy enlisted and a "Mustang," a commercial electrician, and certified FORD mechanic too. Yes "jack of all trades." But I loved customizing and wrenching more than riding or driving. It was finding the parts back when you had mail order catalogs before now all online. Here are a few pictures I have of some bikes and last Hot Rod, a '67 Chevy C20. More pix on my FB page. I built FORDs & Chevys, and helped Friends with their MOPARs. But enoyed my Harley builds too. I went from 2 to 3 wheels then my back said no more and other issues couldn't drive that old Chevy PU safely anymore either.... I drive this new 4Runner to/from work and Dr appts.
