Stock 2024 TRD pro tire

I just got a 2024 TRD pro in August. I ruined the tire over the weekend and I wanted to replace it. It's the nitto grappler. When I went to buy a tire, I see that the nitto grappler G3 is out and when I looked at the nitto grabbler G2, it doesn't look like my tire. My tire does not say G2 on it. Can anyone confirm what tire I'm actually looking for? I just want whatever came on the truck. Thank you!

 

Are you looking for just 1 tire? If that's the case I think Toyota using the old version.

 

Didn't that come with the Ridge Grappler same as the ORP's (what I bought)? If so it looks like they are still available on tirerack, though to be honest I took mine off at 400 miles and sold them due to their poor performance in rain (at least for me). But should still be available, but keep in mind that tire models get refreshed periodically (BFG KO2 to KO3, Falken AT3 to AT4, etc.)

 

Did you check with the dealer where you got your 4R?

Yes, one tire. My friend is the general manager for Town Fair tire and he told me the same thing. He said I should verify that. Unfortunately he can't get this tire. I think I'll have to order it from the website you just posted. Thank you very much

 

How many miles you got on the tires? If there is too many, it may be wise to by a pair, if not 4.

Check the depth, I picked up a used tire on ebay with 10/32 tread for $60.

 

If you can't match the tire can you swap the spare?

 

My spare was a different brand. I was able to get one to match the other 4 so I can rotate 5.

 

It’s seems safe to say that your putting 9000 miles on in six month, most of your driving is on pavement. I replaced the Terra Grappler's with Michelin Defenders LTX MS, day and night difference for the better. Would’ve done it sooner had I known the difference.

 

My Toyota dealer stocks them and price matches.

 

TRD Pros don't have matching spare tire. Toyota logistics only change the running wheels and tires after they come to USA (along with many other mods needed to make it a TRD PRO).

How do you derive he only drives on pavement because in 6 mos 9k?? Maybe he works from home & does do Off road close to his residence?

 

Also, if one want Michelin Defenders LTX MS you don't need a 4Runner. A Sienna would be amazing. JK..

 

Probably should just sell the pro at this point….

 

Toyota never used the G2. They kept using the original crappy 1st generation Terra right up almost to the end of the 2024 model year . The last few months Pros were coming in with Ridge Grapplers.
