I know many of you have this issue, and wanted to know if anyone has made a solution. When upgradeing to HID/LED you DRL which is your high beam run at top brightness all the time, so i just keep it off on the headlight control no big deal. However, when i turn on my lights i end up flashing everyone, and the large pain in the rear is when i want to use my parking lights my high beams are on. I know the work around to turn off the truck engage parking brake then turn it back on, but that just gets old fast. So i was wondering how to disable the drl? I also have the Auer 2 in 1 drl fogs which run on a diffrent button, so i dont think that would be affected by the main drl wiring, but i could be wrong, so if the wiring gurus could chime in on that. Thanks

It's the second tab from the right as the plug is facing you.

I know this is an old thread but....
I want to be able to run DLR, but with the marker lights only, not the highbeams.
Does bending this tab just disable the highbeam part of the DLR?
I like being able to run my marker lights, or my marker lights with my fog lights.

Sorry if linking to this other forum is not allowed,
but I found and explains this well, and yes, it does work.
All bending pin 2 does is get rid of DLR, with no other effects to anything else.

Now, I Just need to find a mod so that the fog lights stay on with the highbeams.
(yes, I know, may not be legal in some states, blah blah blah,,, its personal preference)

Thats to solve a differerent issue.
Most LEDs and HIDs will flicker some with new vehicles that send a PWM signal to the lights.
That module fixes that flicker. Has nothing to do with disabling the DRL or allowing them to come on at a lower power like they do in stock form.
There are a couple modules out there for the LEDs that will make them come on dimmer for DRL, but you cant do that with HID.

Sorry to bump an old thread...

Found this and tried it but I couldn't figure out how to remove the pin from the connector.

Seemed like a good mod which would allow to revert back to stock if you wanted to in the future.

Maybe if someone figures out how to remove the pin they can post on how they did it.

Don't remove it, just bend it in two 90 degree bends, like a dog leg, as shown in my post above. Take a flathead screwdriver, bend the tab up, then 'stab' it (lightly) and push the tab into the top corner of the connector, thus folding it out of the way. If you want to return to stock, pull it down and straighten it with pliers.

Thread revival time...if you bend this relay tab, does that prevent DRLs from coming on at all?
