I have NO Clue, Saw it & can ONLY hope it's gonna happen!! Loved my 2 previous FJ's. Only reason traded is cause I don't want to deal W/older vehicle issues 70-80k mi gone. Been doing that since I was in my 20's & now I'm too old to deal W/any crap except Oil/Filter/Tire rotation intervals & of course mods (my bride hates that I can't leave'em stock .!

This channel has over 500 videos that are like this. It’s literally churning out videos as a way to dredge views and pull in ad money. There is probably nobody behind the curtain, besides the person manning the bank account for the channel. It’s probably not even “a” single person doing these videos at this point. It’s probably youtube proper doing this as additional revenue. Who knows who else uses this fake video approach as money generating schemes. Wall street is probably in on it too.

Remember folks, the amount of electrical energy it takes for AI to “think” up these videos is vast. It probably kills the equivalent of 200 baby deer that used to make their home on the apalachian mountain top that needed to be strip mined for the coal needed to generate this electricity to burn to these AI videos consume. The AI data centers around Lake Michigan that use lake water for cooling means the lake will probably be ice free all winter in a few more years. Which is probably bad.

Heck, there are probably even cute puppies hurt somehow every time one of these videos is made.

Say no to Empty AI fluff!!! Not only is it created to make us dumber, it probably contributes to global warming more than if everybody in the world drove 5th gen 4runners 100k miles every year!

Yeah, I got sucked into a couple of those for the proposed Stout which we would likely be interested in if one was ever produced. I started looking only at official Toyota releases and found something about a potential announcement at the Detroit auto show. But that has come and gone now and nothing so... They'll probably announce right after we go with a RAV4.

 

I mean, the AI generated thing is fake but if you google "Is Toyota going to start making FJ Cruisers again?" Plenty of non-AI responses from credible sources...

Well at the beginning of the video it says "FI Cruiser" instead of FJ Cruiser but I was looking at things like the driver side windshield wiper when it was trolling around the version that was lowered with ground affects (effects?)

 

Wasn't the next FJ already shown in 2021, next to the 4th gen Tacoma mockup?

 

I think that was the all electric version when toyota was displaying the future

^The Tacoma next to it was presented in 2021 as the next EV pickup, but appeared as the 2024 Tacoma with zero styling changes. By inference this blue vehicle would be the next model to wear the FJ badge, meant to compete with the likes of the Bronco Sport unibody crossover.

^LC250 competes with Bronco. Next FJ to compete with Bronco Sport. The latter sells 100k per year without a competing model from Toyota.

 

Good point BL, you watched it closer than I did. I was too busy drooling on my desk and logging into Experian to check my credit in case I decided to buy one. Already told the wife we were selling our 79 FJ40 to make room.

 

At the car show I went to last month, I asked the person working the Toyota section about the FJ Cruiser.
They said they haven't heard anything about it. Don't know if they really know, just saying what they told me.
