Damn phone, you are so correct (I had the failure reversed!). Stress corrosion is the term for the area in red. It's really hard to see in the yellow section but now that I'm on my laptop I can see Striation marks which runs roughly 10 o'clock to 5 o'clock. These marks are cyclic fatigue indicators, sometimes called crack propagation. Finally rupture occurs through the blue zone as indicated by the rougher texture that's loaded with large cracks (crazing.)

Do you think I might have issues under that split jounce bumper?

They were purchased in May of 2020. They aren't going to do anything. I emailed them about the jounce bumper that is split and they said remove it and don't worry about it. Jounce bumpers can cause vibration, and I have vibration.

They told me there was a recall. Possible they could say kick rocks or they may give you a credit towards new ones. Worth a quick phone call.

I wonder when the recall came out. I couldn't find anything online. Anyway I did email them so I'll wait for their response.

I emailed Toytec and Elka to see what the replies are.

I believe David has been there a while too. I'd remove the jounce bumpers and see what happens. I think Hugo is more upper management now & you might get to speak with him

David has been there a while. My concern with the jounce bumper is that only one is split, and I've had a vibration ever since I replaced the upper ball joints. They have about 55K on them now. I would like to see what they say about the recall though.

According to David the bumper is no big deal, and there was never a recall on the Tundra side. He did say I'm due for a rebuild though at 55K miles.

similar story here.. exact same failure and Toytec wouldn't warranty it. Had them for like 45K miles.. went with Billstiens and would never purchase anything from Toytec again.
