Greetings from the Tampa Bay area.
Joined up to learn more about the 6th gen 4 Runner. Its for my wife, who just sold her 2007 FJ Cruiser. We were hesitant to go with the first year model of a complete redesign but this is Toyota and if anyone can create a 1st year winner they can.
We went ahead and made a "semi sorta kinda" order with our local dealership. We know you cant technically "order" from Toyota but we discussed what colors we would prioritize as well as any options or dealer add ons we could live with. In a round about way we came up with an OTD estimate that we could live with. We initially were going to get a Landcruiser but after driving a 1958 edition we were underwhelmed with an overwhelming price.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

Welcome aboard! I don't think there are any members who officially have the 6th Gen, yet. Because it's still very new. But you'll find a lot of threads about it. Mostly we bash it. You know how it is, it's new to us, so we're scared.

"We like what we like, and we don't like change!"

But we do agree that we like some things about it, and it's growing on us (well, some of us). Toyota or not, I would wait until the next year to buy it. Sit back and let others work out the kinks that will arise with a first year model. Don't fall for it's pretty looks juuuuuuuuust yet.

I can relate to this for sure. I drive a 2016 Tundra and I just cant adapt to the TTV6 for 4-5 mpg.

As far as the new 4Runners I have a buddy who traded in his last gen Taco V6 for the new model with the new I4 TT and he says its better in every way except it makes more noise when pushed to high rpms. So that is a plus for sure. Still not a whole lot of data unfortunately.
We were told the wait would be 1-3 months so I will report back when it comes in

Tampa Bay here too. Hold you breath on the 1st year winner. It didn't work out too well for the Tundra and Tacoma redesigns.

As a first year buyer of a 2022 Ford Maverick, trust me when I say this: There's MUCH better ways to spend your time than dicking around at the dealership with a recall notice in your hand waiting for nit-picky stuff to get fixed that should have been done right the first time, but because quality control and customer service has dropped to basement levels in today's industry, you're stuck at the dealership doing what you're doing.

Ain't nobody got time for that.
