    Hey Guys,

New to the forum but thought I could get some help with something that’s been worrying me. Long story short a shop did my valve covers and did a great job, only thing is that they completely cracked the plastic on my engine harness which happens on a 20+ year old car so I’m not mad about it. Only thing is now the wires are completely exposed. I’ve seen guys on these forums wrap it up super nice with split loom and Tesa tape. Is that necessary or will it be okay how it is? Oooh look, another mod.....
Have you seen the engine bay of the 6th Gen 4Runner? EVERYTHING is exposed. There are no covers on anything. You'll be fine bro.

Thank you guys for the reply, I guess my worry is that the plastic cover actually covered underneath the wiring as well so will the wiring deteriorate faster now that it’s touching directly onto the hot surface? Might just be my ocd too lol.

Mine are cracked too, it's never chaffed. It bothers me a little bit, but I've never had a problem leaving it like that.
