Diode Dynamics SS3 Fog Lights, Done some OEM part replacements like Headlights and Rear Wiper Motor but that's it for now.
New to forum + 4Runner ownership, I Am looking to replace the stock fog lights with some yellow LED lights, do you guys have any recommendations brand or model wise, I don’t know how much stuff is out there and the brand I had recommended to me (Baja Designs) only had other models for Toyota stuff so idk if that can be swapped in or whatever but let me know your thoughts please!

+1 for Diode Dynamics. They're consistently one of the top rated options. I have a set in the mail right now!

If you are using foggers in the snow, be sure the ones you get will melt it. Some will not get hot enough. I kept the factory fogs because they will melt snow. LEDs that will get hot enough are big $$. If they get covered with snow, they're kinda worthless.

    Good point!

While Diode Dynamics SS3's are some of the best fogs available, they might get frozen over in cold snowy conditions.

I just ordered Sports. I know they'll perform well in rain and fog, but I guess we'll see how they work in winter conditions.

Welcome. I'll promote the diode dynamics also. For lighting they are just worth it.

Diode Dynamics like everyone else said. Do the job once and be done. I’ve had my DD completely submerged and they still worked.

I recommend Hotshot off-road, if you're looking for a vendor. @memario1214 has been great about answering questions, and their service has been top notch in my experience.

Sports have a much better cutoff than the pros but the sports won't melt snow (according to what I've read). The sports will be plenty bright. Big upgrade over OEM.

Oh, apologies, didn't realize you had a 4th Gen. These are for 2014-2024, so I don't think they fit 4th Gens.

It looks like they might not have a kit for 4th gen 4Runners. I didn't even think of that when I replied. Hopefully there is another good option for you.

When I had my Taco I spent top dollar for foggers that I may have used once. On my 4R I went with $20. Lamin-X sticker covers that look just as good. Once again, never had to use them but they work and I'm not blinding anyone with pro lights.

There is, the one I posted above. I just wanted to compare the DDs if they made them for 4th Gens.

The Diode Dynamics fogs are SAE compliant, so they shouldn't be blinding anyone. Although, I've heard the cutoff on the mid-grade version isn't as good as the others.

Yeah, when I did my Taco there were 2 models, street and pro, the pro's were blinding other drivers.

I wonder if they've updated the design at all. I believe the Max are supposed to have a cleaner cutoff than the Pro, as well.

Yep Max have a better cut off than pro. What scared me off the max is how hot they get. They get INSANELY hot. Obviously people are using them without issue. But the temps blew my mind. (And I don't use my pros in traffic- mostly for country road ditches and animals at night- they're fantastic for that- I guess I treat them as an auxiliary high beam with an OEM installation location).

I think those are only for the 2006-2009 models because my foglight housing is completely different on my 2004. I wanted to put my Tacomas DD Sports in my 4runner, but theres like no where to put them down in the bumper. I have another set i bought on last last years black friday (like 2023), that i will use for Ditch Lights. I currently just run yellow lenses for my fogs but with the OEM bulb.
