Looks like they went the Tacoma route to justify the sport model (the Tacoma off road always had black fender flares and other black accents and no hood scoop while the Tacoma sport had the color matched body parts and hood scoop) I always thought the 4Runner off road got the best of both worlds but of course they fucked that up with the 6th gen as a money grab

just realize no hybrids are being shipped currently, i think they are 2-3 months behind schedule release of the non-hv models

Since the 2.4T gasser is the only choice initially, I would recommend a test drive before laying a deposit. Or at least take a ‘24 Taco around the block and make sure you can live with it. It is a whole new aural experience that requires a pragmatic approach to ownership.

Hybrid seems to quiet the thrashing. It might be worth the wait, if you don’t mind paying a lot more and hauling those batteries for the life of the vehicle.

6th gens now showing up on my area dealers' websites.... already listing with big ADM's. Looks like $3k-$10k. Put the crack pipe down please. And it's not even like these are Trailhunters or Pros at this point.

The pricing of TRD Sport seemed like it was positioned as the Soccer Mom With Bad Credit special, so you get all the looks of a limited without the extra 6k upcharge and the full time 4wd, but still get the XREAS for comfort.

That trapezoid line going through the lower front and back doors doesn't look good on the side view. It almost looks like there is a big dent on the doors. It really was unnecessary and doesn't look good.

$10K markup on a non-hybrid?! I've only seen as much as $5K. Which already blew my mind since $5K markup on an SR5 is like 12%

I hope nobody is foolish enough to pay 10k over sticker for a 2025 4Runner.

To my eyes, painted fenders look much more handsome. When they’re unfinished black, you’ve got yourself an Xterra.

Toyota also knows this, b/c why else would they paint the $70k Pro fenders gloss black, when technically it’s not beneficial for bushwhacking.

Thats a funny thing to say, its basically a SR5 with a Limited body, Limited wheels, Limited suspension, Limited auto running boards, skid plates, and the hood scoop so many like and want.

I was actively looking for a white Limited with redrock interior for a long time, the white 4wd with auto running boards were hard to find so i had been looking well over a year. My intentions were to color match it or black the chrome similar to a Nightshade and put a hood scoop on it when i got it. I was looking when the October 2022 release of the TRD Sport rolled out and BAM, Toyota did everything i wanted for me so i didnt have to do it. I didnt need a 3rd row even though my 2012 had it, i didnt need the cooled seats but was able to get the TRD Sport with heated seats like any of the other Premium optioned vehicles. Price point didnt matter, i went purely on how it looks from the outside and i think Toyota nailed the vehicles looks. You dont have to like it but i am certainly happy they offered this vehicle.
