And yes, what’s up with the he other site, kept getting a “hacked” screen. Do we need to worry about our password type stuff?

 

No clue on the other site. From what I have noticed, it seems that the whole ball of wax is unravelling. The fact that the owner/admin has not taken the site down for security reasons is very disturbing. Thanks for the welcome! It looks like I will be starting a new. I should have been on here a long time ago anyhow.

 

I also came over here and registered, mostly to get my username in case the other forum is irretrievable. I emailed their hosting provider too so hopefully they can help out. The total lack of concern on the part of the mods or Admin there about the weirdness the last few weeks makes me think that the site's been compromised for a while now.

 

All those DIY tutorials, gone...

 

Might as well just make this the come to thread for all of us orphans to get the re-meet each other.. ha ha!

 

Someone over there is doing the Lord's work, posting on all the sub forums about the hack but only using the title. I can get the site to load and go into threads but you have to use script blocker to avoid the redirect. Unfortunately it looks like all of the text on all forum posts older than about 2pm MST today has been replaced with HACKED BY *somejerk* and a redirect to their hakker page.

 

Ya no kidding bummed on that

 

I'm here too now. I contacted admin of the LOLz site and will save that info for everyone if they allow me to. Quite the mess. But their reluctance to admit to me (even via PM) that anything was wrong (for quite a while) and then deny the event occurred, and also not warn anyone is troubling. They don't seem to want help, or have a clue what they are doing. I offered to take the reigns (12yr dev) but they said everything is good.

 

Looks like they have a maintenance page splashed now.

 

Welcome, i am RedSled over there, i posted quite some time ago about it being unsafe. What a shame, but hey, i like it over here. Secure, nice folks, great pics. and the admin. and other staff care.

Welcome! This site is also a nice break from the other site. This site has people that don't seem to have all kinds of anger like they do on the other site. Every post doesn't turn into an argument like over there, instead it's just a healthy, refreshing, and beneficial to everyone discussion.... Let's please keep it that way.

Glad to see some people migrating to 4runners.com! fuck that other site =D. sadly I've been a member there since 2006 and the original owner of my 02. sad to see that site die.

I hope to see some awesome 5th gen builds here.

 

this will be a refreshing start for you 5th gen guys. builds, mods, and maintenance threads pop up so often for you guys.

Us 3rd gen guys have seen it all and done it all. we know our rigs inside and out. nothing new to see, just a reliable ass truck.

What kind of window visors are those? Avs low profile? Is that the smoked or matte black option? I’ve been trying to find a place that sells the matte black option but no luck.

 

Well, I updated my email address, and the site never sent me an email to activate things, so now I have a useless account over there. Guess that's a sign I should stay off there for good

Yes, they are the smoked version, which appear solid gloss black from the outside.
