    2:1 is the goal. 5th Gens can handle 34s with some work. The replacement for my current 33s will be 34s (285/75). If 18 is the new default, I don't see 36 inch tires fitting on the 6th gen. If 17 inch aftermarket wheels will work, then great.

    ^Going by Tacoma as the example (same size brakes), 17" wheels still fit, but you need to watch for rear brake hose clearance. 35x12.5-17" fits with minimal work with +30mm wheels: simply unbolt fender liner support bracket on cab mount.
