Needing some help please. I am battling it out with the dealer, but I want to have an idea of what people are paying out there. I am going in a bit upside down, and I'm willing to give a down payment. I don't want to be screwed either, and at least would like to know how much I can push for a good deal. Any help or advice would help!

    Thank you,

When it comes to the PRO....by most accounts, if you can get it for MSRP, you're doing good. If you could get it a k or two under MSRP, that would be awesome. Dealers generally don't have any problems selling Pro's, due to the limited availability....alot of dealers try to get 5-10k over MSRP. Let us kow how you make out.

I paid msrp, no markup, but no reduction either. Seeing what most dealers were marking up around me, I was fine with msrp.

Best I can get is MSRP in Philly area. Am shopping like crazy online and have dealers working against eachother on some other trims. The PRo is a different animal - only bargaining is on my trade.

I just bought mine and paid MSRP but I’m friendly w/ the owner of the dealership. He mentioned, on average, they go for 5k over MSRP.

This is my vendor price. You can probably get it for close to this if you work on them.

I’m new to the forum and came here for the exact same reason. What do I pay for a 2019 TRD PRO? I am an accountant and I don’t buy anything without tons of research and price comparisons. Bottom line you pay MSRP.

I live in Chicago, I called ALL the Toyota dealers in the city and they all said that I have to order one and it will be at MSRP no negotiations. There is only one voodoo blue in stock and he’s asking MSRP as well. I called dealers within 500 mile radius and it’s all the same answer.

So you pay MSRP. THATS IT

Pretty much. I love mine. I bought mine at msrp. I would not buy one if a dealer was asking more than the msrp. You don’t have much of a choice. Because there pretty much not discounting them. I love how they hold there value.

    THIS.
there are a few who get lucky, mostly due to connections. MSRP is pretty much lucky in my area.

This is what you call luck. I turned down the Cement grey in July 2017 and in September I bought the White Pro.

Yes it's MSRP for a PRO or more, but just so you know...you can buy a off-road, which is essentially the same vehicle as a PRO minus the suspension and appearance items, for thousands less. Then take your savings and buy aftermarket suspension, rims, and tires and still be below the MSRP price of the PRO. No special color this way but you now have a better 4runner than a stock PRO with the aftermarket items.

Of course you should only do this if you are going to keep the vehicle for a while. If you are going to trade it in a couple years than buy the PRO and don't modify it to get maximum resale value.

Hey Folks, New to the forum. I’m also looking for a ‘19 TRD Pro. I live in The SF Bay Area and every dealership charges 5K over MSRP. I refuse to pay this. Anyone know of a dealership within a few states of CA that charges MSRP Only? I would gladly pay that.

save your money, get an off road premium, you'll save 13k and have plenty left over to mod/build to your liking. i just picked up a 2019 off road premium 44k msrp for well below invoice. If you are in California, let me know and i'll put you in touch with the right people to get this done for you.

You may want to look at a gently used Pro. Mine is a 2016.

Good luck dude, I am also in the bay area and I had to drive to Placerville to get one with a 5k mark up. Stockton and modesto do not have any mark ups but if you want one now you got to pay to play. SF Toyota told me they get about one trd pro a month so call them to see if they have any coming in. They sell theirs for 54k after their mark up

When I was shopping early this year in So Cal all the dealers wanted $5,000 - $15,000 OVER MSRP. One dealer would sell at MSRP but they had about a two year waiting list.

No way would I personally pay that much for a Pro so I started looking a bit closer and got a TRD Off Road Premium for about $2,000 UNDER MSRP. Maybe not the best deal every but this one was EXACTLY what I wanted with the exact options and color. Plus, I decided I really wanted KDSS and Homelink and Turn Indicators in the mirrors, all of which are not available on the Pro. Also, while I love the look of the Pro wheels - especially the aftermarket ones in grey/bronse - an argument can be made that the trail wheels are a bit better off road because they are 1/2" wider and protect the valve stem better.

I have a Pro type grill in the garage that I am thinking about installing but I'd like to so something a bit different with it so my Runner doesn't look like every other runner out there.

I also have a lift kit in my cart on Amazon but have not pulled the trigger yet. 5100s all around will be fine for me but I am so tempted to go with the 6112/5160 combo which is basically what the 2018 and early Pros had.

Clearly, I am buried in First World Problems. :amen:

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I think the vast majority of us can go anywhere we reasonably want to in an SR5. My TRDORP has all the goodies but now that I have wheeled it a bit, I really only use 4Lo and the Rear Locker. Just those two features allowed me to embarrass a couple of friends in built jeeps. What I REALLY need is more ground clearance (lift) and protection (Full length skids).

4Runners are impressively capable in all trim levels. :bananadance:

This is accurate. The differences between a Pro and ORP (or even a 4wd non TRD model) are so negligible that it would come down to driver experience vs features.

Also paid MSRP. Dealership told me the next Pro was to arrive in three months, if I didn't buy it, someone else would so they didn't really care if I tried to haggle haha.

Hey at least they were straight up haha

I was recovering from surgery when I decided to buy a TRD Pro. Being a fan of blue and having some other blue cars in the garage I had to get Voodoo. Being in Newport Beach the dealers around here are all getting drugs from the same dealer. I saw everything in my 2 week search, charges for nitrogen filled tires to 300 dollars for the 39 dollar edge guards. Mark-ups ranged from 5k to 20k over MSRP. I took delivery on my GT3.2 at MSRP and it was a PTS version but the catch was I waited 2.5 years. I refused to pay the mark-ups and it paid off as I also got the latest version when my name was called.

Well after using Auto trader and being frustrated I got lucky and found one at a dealership 40 miles away near Toyota's west coast HQ and they said on that particular day if I bought it I could have it for MSRP. They had two dealer installed options, the rails for 650 and window tint for 500. I bought it.

I had a FJ for 10 years, TRD BBK, Supercharger etc. I loved it and it was my surf mobile. I replaced it with a Macan GTS, it turns out the Macan is fun but its a lousy surf mobile. My friends got tired of me never driving so now they don't have too.

Exactly the PRO is nothing but an expensive appearance package. The only difference that may make it more capable than a SR5 is the rear locker which is easily added aftermarket if you so desire, and cheaper than buying a PRO also. Really the locker is best for rock crawling and that's about it. I do wish the rear locker was able to be used in 4 high and 2 high like other vehicles out today.
