Im wanting to lift my 2018 4runner 2.5-3 inches. The 4 runner is a road princess and my wifes daily driver.
I was thinking about 5100's front set on 1.75 and 5100's for the rear with a spacer. Do i also need to purchase UCAs to get the alignment correct, what do yall suggest?

I suggest keeping it stock and invest the money you wanted to spend on it.

That would work. I would go 1/2” rear spacer. Level the frame not the fenders..

I have a dealer installed Toytec Ultimate at about 2.5". Did not need UCA's according to the dealer and the alignment seems fine.

WallyT4R i ended up buying the billstein 3 in.lift system and the control arms.exact same system as the ultimate system but wont be adjustable which is fine with me. They are having a black friday sale right now which saved some $$$$ everything shipped to my door was $1545.00

I had a lifted 2015 Tacoma before getting my 4 Runner. The Tacomaworld sister site is full of every possible combination and permutation for lifting these trucks, plus a huge posse of enthusiasts who know more about them than Toyota does. With a little bit of effort, it’s hard to get it wrong. 4 Runners are different. They’re hard to lift and preserve the driveability designed into them by Toyota, IMHO. Sure, guys here do it, and some of the lifts look ok, although cosmetic, these things are subjective. One thing I’ve noticed, and I don’t mean to insult anyone, but a lot of 4 Runner owners really screw up their vehicles by getting the rear of their vehicles too high relative to the front, shifting the balance of the vehicle forward. Others have a slight bro lean and are too high in the front. It’s easy to see this from the photos. Too bad. I’d be careful about destroying the balance and integrity of such a well designed vehicle by amateurishly trying to lift it for no obvious purpose.

16,000 miles since lift. No unusual tire wear, but I am rotating then every 5,000 because Toyota does it free for the first 24,000. Also my lift was installed by the dealer, and my particular dealer has a dedicated off road department.

Ok, I’m going to give you an atypical response, as everyone goes for the holy grail of bigger tires. Don’t. Just stay with stock, unless there is a beaver pond you need to ford and every inch counts. Be tasteful and keep your vehicle in balance and in proportion and in scale with itself. That’s aesthetic, and granted, subjective advice.
But the real reasons are functional. A 4 Runner has a shorter wheelbase than say a 4 door Tacoma, and it’s easy to get them too high, increasing the risk of roll over on the highway. A 4 Runner has incredible driveability, in that it can run with Audi’s and Porsche’s at high speed on big highways, and also idle along a forest trail with equal ease. Why mess with this? Also: unless you’re planning to regear, those bigger tires will kill your power, and make your vehicle perform like a dead dog. 4 Runners have marginal power, and if you ever need it to pull anything, or carry a load, bigger tires will be a problem. Stock tires on a modestly, and properly lifted, levelled vehicle look great and maintain performance.

Yeah, I agree with what backslider says. Of course, a 4 Runner is not a high performance sports car, what I meant is that once you get it going on a big highway it will keep up in the passing lane with the fast vehicles. Around Toronto, that’s around 140 km/hr, or 85 mph in American metric. These vehicles are smooth and predictable at that speed, and can do it for hours on any interstate to get you to the trail head. And of course they won’t fall over on the road when lifted, haha, but if you ever need to make a high speed manoeuvre with a big lift anything could happen. If you ever look at your phone or dial in the radio and hit a soft shoulder, being unbalanced and way up in the air with a bro lean and a bunch of spacers between earth and heaven may not end well.

To make it level, Billsteins setting of 1.6 (in the current instructions online, there is no more 1.75, they re-did the scaling) and each side is 1 ring difference left to right (FYI) i.e driver side 1.6, passenger side 1 ring lower than the 1.6.

Then use a 1" cornfed spacer (cornfed spacers are 1" for the drivers, and .9" for the passenger (to level it out side to side)

you can see mine how it turned out. I think 1/2" spacers in the rear would be too small, and you'll have too much rake in the front.

Cornfed spacers solve this problem. Driver and passenger spacers are different sizes.

The stock 4Runner is pretty poor from a handling perspective let me say. I was very unimpressed with the tires and shocks. The OEM tires are about the cheapest tires you can possibly get for 265's (I don't blame the OEM for adding these, why increase the cost, let the buyer do it)

The shocks were too loose IMO.

Yeah I practically drove mine from the dealer after purchase to Discount Tire and traded that stock junk in for KO2's. They gave me $50 a tire on trade.

The shocks are soft. I will eventually fix that but I am still leaning towards a very small lift or no lift at all. So far it seems Dobinsons makes better/stiffer springs that don't lift. We will see. I still have a few miles on the stock shocks before they get too bad. Toyota stock suspension usually gets worse with age, and I mean before 50000 miles. Even the TRD shocks they used to put on the Tacomas wear out quick.

I had great luck with them in the past on my Tundra and to slightly justify the E load rating, I tow a boat (locally) during the summer so they do handle the load pretty well. There was a noticeable loss of mpg and some lag in acceleration but I'm cool with that.
