    This is hilarious!

I ordered the ladder back in March for $220. It’s selling now for $250.

Feel free to do the math on the savings!

So you can get 10% off, pay $30 more, and wait forever for it to show up?

Sounds like a pretty good deal. If your Gobi.

Speaking of racks, there seems to be a new brand in town, I couldn''t get close enough to get the brand, but it looks to cover most of the roof, like a gobi rack, the bars seem to be a bit larger, round pipe, maybe 1" 1/4".. There is a logo plate attached to the backk of the rack advertising the brand? Any ideas? the rack sides are solid plates

    Keyboard keeps typing double.....

That's ridiculous. That would make me nervous, as if you won't get the product you paid for nervous. If it was me I would have cancelled the order by now, called my credit card company on them, and called C4Fab for and order on their ladder. Gobi is obviously having serious issues.

The thing is...they don’t charge until it ships so the only thing that’s bothersome if the lack of customer service they have. I was never charged for the ladder but it still shows my order on hold. I figured they would have returned my phone calls or emails so they could finalize the outstanding order.

3in OME full lift and F(N) Pro wheels with Faulken 285/70/17 tires
Man, all this is having me second guessing making a purchase in the next week...

I just don’t love the look of all of the other racks, or I don’t want to drill into my roof... Anyone know of any full racks with a sunroof cutout that don’t need to be drilled?

Mostly looking to mount a RTT to it.

    Thanks.

Take a look at the ARB touring rack or flat rack. It isn’t full length but it mounts to the existing mounting locations (with the fit kit). I have the touring rack on mine and it fits the RTT nicely.

C4Fab ladder is better IMO but it's more money. An it's no drill

No, but I have seen it, people seem to like it, and it won't take a year to get it. I also have C4Fabs sliders so I know their work is good. I don't have a use for a ladder and prob never will.

Hey, I have a question, and I promise I'm not trying to be a dick: why do people need ladders on the back of their 4Runner?

Most stuff that you're placing on the rack can be secured while you stand on the slider or the open door sill. Or you can stand on the tire. I'm 5'8 and I can easily reach past the middle of my rack by standing on the slider on either side. Nearly every RTT comes with its own extendable ladder (since most of them unfold sideways) and the rear hatch is usually nowhere near the entrance of any tent. The one exception would be the GFC tent, since theirs pivots up front with a door in the rear.

So what's the reason for the hatch ladder? Is it just so you can do this?

Someone please let me know what else they're used for.

@mynameistory my reasoning is for function. While the RTT does have a ladder that extends out to open it, closing it and securing it are another story. I stowed the annex, floor and a few other items inside the tent while traveling and when closed, a little extra weight on top goes a long way in getting everything compressed down enough to secure the straps and get the cover on. It’s a lot easier to get into the tent and use body weight to compress it enough than it is to try to balance yourself on a tire or slider while using one hand to pull down on the tent and another to one hand fumble with the buckle. I’d much prefer using a ladder as opposed to stepping on the hatch and roof to climb up.
