Worthless Sh!t To Put On Your 4Runner!

The only thing so far that I’ve installed that is technically considered non-functional (a.k.a worthless) is the front and rear black valances. We all know these are purely aesthetic. The silver ones did not compliment all the blacked-out emblems. Next will be (you guessed it) black wheels.
I did install some cat-shields due to the high theft of converters in my area.

bug deflectors work well for stone chips. Wish i would have installed one on my 2011 a long time ago.

 

How about people that illegally tint the front side windows and then complaining about getting a ticket for same.

Yeah and they don't deflect bugs much at all.

After getting a rock chip on the corner of my hood right away when new, I put one of those fugly bug deflectors on my truck to stop the screaming. Every time I walked near the front of mine that light gray primer underneath the black paint screamed at me: LOOK AT ME!

I still sometimes wish I'd traded for a non-skewp hood right away.

 

Yeah it's quite annoying. Same, I wish ORP did not come with the stupid bump on the hood and silver valances.

 

There was a guy on the Tacoma World site that modded his hood scoop so he could put a super bright LED light in it. He even bragged that he did it because it would blind the driver in front of him in traffic. He claimed "I do that instead of honking. If I honk the person to the left or right of me get mad, but if I hit the LED light it is aimed at the guy in front of me, who I'm mad at."

 

Why would I be jealous? How would you like to be a police officer walking up to a vehicle when you couldn't see the driver?

 

I haven't been pulled over in years, and I have illegal tint on ALL my windows. However, when I was pulled over, I rolled down ALL my windows immediately. The cop walked up and said "Hey, thanks for doing that. Appreciated. We don't care about your tint, as long as you roll down your windows so we can see you during the stop."

That's all that was said about my illegal tint. The cop even let me off with a warning! (I pulled a U turn in a no U turn zone)

 

Last time I got pulled over (Towing ATV on trailer & couldn't "Move Over" & didn't slow down for a Trooper doing a stop. I was more concerned W/traffic light just past Trooper.) I, when rarely get pulled over put window down & hands @ 10:00 & 2:00 on steering wheel until he/she walks ups to speak W/me. If @ night have over head lights on so they can se me.

How long everyone thinking before this thread goes from fun (I think its intended purpose) to toxic? My guess - somewhere around page 5.

 

If you read the thread that inspired this one, you'd see that "fun" was never the intended purpose of this thread. This thread is an excuse for someone who is very concerned about his image, and what people think of him, to get vindication for his opinions.

 

I hated those stickers when they 1st came out. What the F does it Matter? I'm gonna deliberately crash into IF you don't have a spud sucker on board?!?!?!

 

We agreed to drive the 4runner 90% of the time for first 2 years and park my wife's car. Waiting til we go back to 70/30 hers before spending any money on tires. Until then I'm just researching what's the biggest tire I can fit without a lift

 

I will educate everyone how to get a signed form from their medical provider so you cannot give them a ticket.

Would love to know how.

 

They were first intended for First Responders in the event there was a serious accident. They would know to look for a baby who might not be immediately visible. The did have a purpose.
