Any 2023 TRD Pro owners running Eibach lift springs?

I haven’t seen a 2.5 that was raked or level. All have seemed reverse raked.

 

Yeah I tend to agree. Im considering:

Eibach 1.4 F and 1.0 R

Eibach 2.5 F and 1.0 R

Eibach 2.5 F and (dobinson or Icon) 2 R

Or possibly just Eibach 1.4 F and leave rear stock

 

Start from the beginning of this post and read over every post and then think it over. Plenty of pics in here to decide which way to go.

No problem. I’m very happy with the Eibach since switching from the westcott lift. From higher to lower I did not want the 23-24 springs.

 

My biggest concern with the 2.5" lift eibach springs is how much down travel is left afterwards....

 

I called WD since they’re local to me to have their pre collar lift installed and they told me it would be $1500. The parts are $450 which seems fine for the quality. But over $1000 to install it seems a little steep to me (that includes alignment). I rarely bring my vehicles to a shop as I do most of the basic maintenance on my own. Although the install doesn’t look hard, I don’t fell like messing with springs and risk losing a hand as I am clearly not trained for it.
Am I the only one that thinks it is outrageously expensive for them to install THEIR product or is that considered normal?

For those who’ve had a shop install the Eibach springs or the WD preload collar lift, how much did you spend on the install?

 

I don't think it’s reasonable to assume you get an automatic discount because it’s their product.

A local shop was offering a limited time deal to install 4 tires (Falken Wild Peaks) + the WD lift for $3000, which is relatively close to your rate

 

Yea I was quoted 1800 for purchase and install through one of their dealers.
Just did it myself.

 

Way too much. Both times with my mechanic adding the westcott and alignment was around $650.00. Took it off added the Eibach springs and alignment same price.

 

Completely agree. That's crazy. I've always done my own suspension work but no way I'd pay that..

I could maybe see a grand with parts and alignment

 

Don - Make sure you take care of that Mechanic! Fruit basket, xmas cards with cash, etc...

Just saw a video of someone with at 2019 TRD PRO with the E30-82-071-03-22 (not the E30-82-071-04-22) that ended up having to put a spacer in not to get rubbing with 285's and the trd wheel. ugh.

I have a '24 and the E30-82-071-04-22 springs and am getting ready to install them with the TRD Wheels and 285's on Saturday. Wish me luck. Anyone out there with 285's, TRD Wheels, and the E30-82-071-04-22?

 

Hope all goes well John, Just did about 200 miles today down at the beach now. The Pro rode great. John mine came with the 04-22 I think you will be ok. I’m not getting any rubbing with my tires.

 

I wouldnt call it a discount but an incentive to get their product and go through them for the install. Maybe call it a bundle?
Why would I spend more to go through them rather than find a different shop that can do it for $500 less?

Now Im even considering if it's worth spending that much for that precollar lift. For the price, I might as well get springs or a better lift kit? If I purchased a product from a different company and asked them to install it (like you did), it would make more sense to me.
For comparison, Gobi offer(ed) free install for their rack if you purchased through them and brought your truck to them (I dont know if they still do that?).
WD charges $420 to install THEIR rack and $140 to install THEIR sliders. Now I'm not necessarily saying they should do it for free but charging 1h to install their sliders? Really? I told my friend to come to my place and I did it for him for a beer. I mean sliders took less than 5 minutes and I dont have any tools like a lift to make the job easier. And the rack was not that bad, it did not take 3h and the only experience I had was install my gobi rack 2 years ago. I'm glad I saved him near $600 of install fees for something that doesnt require much expertise.

When they were less known, their price was a lot more reasonable. I wonder if they jacked up their price after the whole internet clout and publicity they've had for the past 2 years. I love their products and the quality of it. I don't mind paying for quality product. Same as service, but when service is fairly basic for the industry, it's hard to justify paying that much, even more when you buy straight from them. I personally doubt that it takes them 6 hours like they claimed to install their preload collar lift. That sounds like price gouging to me, no less than dealerships that add a price adjustment for certain cars.

I dont mean to tell people not to buy from WD. Again, their products are great and so is their customer service and all the people I've talked to over there. But I do find their labor fees for basic installs of their products slightly high. I just wish I could support them without feeling being taken advantage.

 

$450 will get you eibach springs. To pay $450 for spacers is crazy. I mean cornfed has a trd pro spacer kit(2015-2024) that is less then $225. So take your pick.

Then find a local offroad shop to do the install.

To be fair the preload collar form WD is great quality and slightly different than a typical spacer. With that said, I’ve been eyeing at Eibach for a while and might go this route as I’d prefer getting taller springs than a spacer/collar

 

I thought WD lift was preload collar spacer with tophat spacer. The cornfed is collar with tophat.

 

Then yea it’s the same, I didn’t realize cornfed had a collar below. I thought it was just a tophat spacer

 

That's reasonable. I didn't get the WD lift, I just saw the ad on my local shops instagram. I'm personally leaning towards the Eibach springs after RusPro17's testimony.

 

So while I’d much rather have springs than a collar lift, after more research I decided to stick with the WD. I’ve returned the Eibach. I was coming across too many examples of folks having to remove mudflaps or having to trim with TRD wheels. These could have all been alignment issues, but at the end of the day I didn’t want to go through the install process just to potentially have an issue. I also go off road and the springs were a little lower than the WD. No trimming or mudflap removal with WD.

 

New wheels to go with my Eibach springs.

 

After seeing Eibach list the compatibility of the 1.4 F and 1.0 R for the 2023-2024, I thought I made up my mind. I have gobi rack and 80lb roof top tent. It didn’t look like it lowered the suspension much. After installing the sliders I see the effects of added weight. I’m reconsidering the 2.5 F and I’m sure I’ll need a +200lb rear spring. I’m also planning to add a dual battery in the near future and winch in the distant future.

 

Do it. Like I did. Or better

 

Can you advise on your suspension set up? I know it's in the thread somewhere but can't find it. Which Eibach springs did you go for on the front and rear, and is there any other mods to the suspension? Thanks!

 

Hi Austin, Yes I’m running the 21-22 springs from Eibach. Very happy with the results. I’m glad I did not do the 23-24 springs. Nothing else done. No rubbing and have the Rockbloz mudflaps on.

Correct. Also running SCS wheels with 285/70/17’s.

 

@RusPro17 when you get a chance can you post your hub to fender measurements? Picking out equipment and trying to land on the same stance you're rockin. I've got a TRD ORP so unfortunately I can't scoop up the same eibach kit without scoring some pro take-off shocks.
