back under the hood after a while to work on off-road lighting Blue Sea breaker & fuse block wiring. tight garage, the struggle is real

 

if you do a search for camping mod you’ll see what it is. it’s basically wiring up buttons to be able to lower/raise the back window while inside the rear cargo area.

 

How do you like the cargo box? Looks to be a bit cheaper than the Roam ones.

 

What lift and tires are you runnin' on the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe? Any rubbing? Any shimmy at highway speeds? Most importantly, what are your oil change intervals? Every 5,000 steps or are you stretching it out to 10,000?

I was laughing about how impressed the little tikes was with the wiring job! Haha

Took the Rattie for a walk tonight and one of the retention ponds was filled with tadpoles! My inner kid wishes I still had old fish tanks sitting around to raise some baby frogs.

Been gone a few days and Just picked it up… Full PPF in the front (full bumper, full hood, full fenders, lights, fog lights, door cups).

Me too, big on Carbon fiber after going through advanced composite repair course @ FSI WPB.Fl. Here's the worlds most expensive funnel. Joke amongst fellow NJSP Aviation techs. Get paid for 2 weeks, mileage to/from AP, Parking, Airfare, food, hotel ,rental car, 2 week FSI course & come home W/this as final test. 3 triangle pieces of CF. Has to hold water & turn upside down & stand on it. Stuff is amazing.

 

Decided to catch a large object from a truck with my windshield!

 

Put in a blue sea below deck power panel in cargo area. Connected it to a blue sea 4 circuit fuse block and a mini bus that I mounted behind the quarter panel trim using some female threaded rubber coated magnets. The fuse block and bus are bolted onto the magnets so I didn't have to use vhb tape or screw it into the sheet metal. This allows me to place them where needed and pull them out easily to access a fuse or add an accessory.

 

I noticed that on my Limited. I need another skid plate for the gap. Eventually replacing with 2014+ front for options or 2013 Trail grille and bumper cover. I took a picture beside a Trail at VA and I could see then the bigger grille opening and larger lower bumper opening where larger than mine. I assume to allow more air to engine crawling along on the trail. I want a hide bumper. Not a lot of 2010-13 options. With Trail less cutting and can probably make fit.

 

Ouch! my fear on the highway but I know it's bound to happen. What's the plan for replacement?

I don't have autoglass coverage and go back and forth if I should add it. Also, not sure what a cost on a 5th gen is as I hear we have to calibrate a sensor(s).

Just finished removing my raptor lights. I know, I know, there's split opinions on them but after the novelty wore off I decided I didn't want to have something plugged into an add a fuse. Now if only I could find my bag of small UV resistant black zip ties so I could put my piece of gutter mesh back in....

 

I hit the jackpot, I've had my TRD wheels since last year, but didn't get new tires, so pulled the trigger on Falkens AT3W for super cheap, but they sent me AT4W instead! These look AMAZING! So aggressive and beefy. I stayed with 265/70/17 size and surprisingly these are much bigger than the OEM Dunlops. Also ordered Wescott sliders!

Got a quote from the dealership, Allstar and a local glass replacement that does great work. Local installer quoted me $735 for replacement with recalibrate. Allstar was $30 higher and dealer was around $950. Went with the local installer who is gonna do the work next thursday. Said it'd take about 3 hours!

I didn't...was an 18-wheeler with 2 semis behind him and I bet they were going above 80mph. Don't think I woulda caught him and if I did would have been my word against his.
