The Wolfgang lasts several months, I normally apply it 3-4 times a year.

Installed the CaliRaised Cat Shields...feel much better now!

 

Changed the rear differential and transfer case fluid. Both were very easy to do. Rear differential took 3qt of fluid and still didn't dribble out, but I figured it had to be enough. Transfer case right at 1.1qt. Took it for a quick drive and no leaks.

I'll do the front differential once I get the Lexus drain plug with the 14mm bolt head on it since the 10mm hex bolt is notorious for being difficult.

Fluids are Redline 75W85 for diff and Redline MTLV for transfer case.

 

Lol, I remember your photos from the incident. You know what you need? A hood rack!

 

These are guaranteed to give me an additional 2HP, right? I was looking at my wheels the other day and noticed I had CHROME valve stem caps *gasp*!

So I bought these:

 

Those of us that live in the rust belt cannot have nice sh!t like that. The salt corrodes the metal and bonds it to the valve stem. Have a friend that was warned by the tire shop that he may regret using the cool valve stem caps. It took a channel locks, pliers, and some muscle to get them all off. Buggered up the threads, too. Lesson learned. We only use plastic caps now.

 

I never even thought about that, but it makes perfect sense. I just wanted to get rid of the chrome, and Amazon had these for $8.99 I love how the listing states "For men & women". WTF? We have gender specific car accessories now?

Yup. A guy who parks in the same parking garage as me parked his TRD Bro trim level next to me today. Tomorrow, I get to flex on him with THESE pimped out caps.

I helped my son cut off a set of similar caps because they seized up. Now he has some aluminum caps that have a plastic insert - basically a cap within a cap. They have US Flags on them, so a little more decorative than the old run of the mill valve caps. Lexus also makes some nice hex shaped plastic caps that look a little better than our stock caps. I tried at one time to find a place that would make small, domed TRD decals to top the valve caps we have on now because it is a flat top cap, but didn't have any luck.

 

You can have nice things. Simply use this on the threads....

Nice, I went with these. Since they say TRD, I'm getting an additional 3hp. Aluminum alloy, so I don't have to worry about them rusting here in MA.

Cat theft must be really big in some cities. I hardly ever hear about it here in SW Florida.
Maybe too many guns in the Gunshine state .

 

Maybe they prefer bike theft there. Or at least my bike which was stolen the last time I was in SW FL.....

 

Finally had a chance to install my cali raised LED skids. Did the engine, trans, transfer, and fuel skid. They look killer on there but I want to get the RCI gap filler plate between the bumper and front skid. Looks almost naked under there.

 

Damn I'm old! I remember watching this in college when I had some down time. Some of their ideas were def.... unique. But some turned our pretty neat too.

 

Things we thought were cool like a disco in the back seat. Lol

 

One of them actually had a whole TV stuck to the inside of the tailgate I remember. This and there was another show which had Chip Foose.

 

There was another one called "Room Raiders." Again, showing my age. From Wikipedia:

"On the show, three men or women have their rooms inspected, or "raided" by another single man or woman. The raider does not meet or see any of the three singles (any personal photographs of the contestant are removed from the room or covered with a smiley face sticker). At the end of the episode, the raider chooses to go on a date with one of them based on the contents of their rooms. The three contestants watch and comment, while sitting in a van, as their rooms are inspected. After the raider has finished with each of the rooms, the three contestants then raid the raider's room. Finally, the raider confronts the three contestants and makes his or her choice."

Of course it was all 18-22/23 year old subjects (college aged). Some folks' room were very messy. Even questionable from what I remember. Looking through your personal stuff (i.e. t-shirt, underwear drawers, laundry basket).

 

Overhaulin! That was one of my favorites as a kid. My dad had a '58 Cadillac that we could never finish and I remember trying to get onto that show haha
