    Hello all,
I just purchased a 95 4runner yesterday for $650. It runs and drives and passed emissions today. I want to fix a few things before deciding to keep it or sell it. The first problem I have is the oil gauge doesn't move at all? Is it an easy fix, if so can you point me in the right direction. The second issue I have is I cant open the rear latch. Even with the window down and from the inside. I think the latch is broken. Easiest way to fix it? I am sure I will have more questions down the road. Thanks for all the help.

I’m guessing that your truck needs lots of tlc, and being old, you’ll probably repair it using used parts. I’d get a good repair manual for it, one with lots of exploded diagrams of the parts. It’ll be the best $50 you ever spend on it, and it will be a sales boost when you resell it down the road.

Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day but teach a man to fish and he’ll be able to not only feed himself for the rest of his life but feed others as well. Something like that, anyway. My grandmother told me that one.
