Planning on doing my first coolant drain & refill on my 2020 ORP and I’ll be following this procedure. Looked pretty straightforward to me. Any tips or info. the video didn’t include? Thanks in advance.

+ two on the block plug. This is one of the item's that can rear its ugly head on a Friday afternoon and not cooperate when you least expect it, If you can follow exactly, with no issues, you are good. Most Anti freeze is rated from longer than the typical drain and fill. Can always check the PH when concerned.

First I've ever saw someone take the time to put a hose on the radiator drain. I just throw a pan under there and let her rip.

And I also would never touch the block drain.

I've also never needed a funnel. I just park up a slight incline and let her run without the cap and keep an eye on it.

Passenger side block drain is easy to access. Undo two clips on the splash guard and go in with a long extension. Mine (14 years old) opened with no drama. Quite a bit more coolant came out from the block drain.

Driver's side block drain is further forward, under the exhaust manifold and above the engine mount. Very difficult to see, let alone putting a socket on it. I left that one be.

I have the same funnel (from Princess Auto). I also thought I never needed a funnel until I tried this one. It makes the burping process easier with minimal spilling. It makes the coolant height higher than the rest of the engine. You can see the air bubbles glurp up through the coolant in the funnel. I had the time, so I filled the funnel and left in on the rad and let the engine to cool overnight. The next day, half the coolant in the funnel had been drawn back into the engine from contraction.

I followed this video and didn’t have any issues. Revving the engine definitely helps to burp the air out. I wasn’t getting any heat out of the vents until I hit the gas. Also 5/16 ID tubing is a better fit for the block drain

AISIN makes the toyota coolant, it is so much cheaper on Rock Auto buying the AISIN coolant

Block drain is no big deal. Your 2020 should only have 1 and it will be on the passenger side. As @dan777 mentioned above, check the tubing size on the block's nipple vs what the video said. The video recommended a bigger size and it would have worked better with smaller ID tubing.

If you're replacing your spark plugs, replace your PCV valve at the same time. Its a cheap part - under $10 for OEM and will prevent leaks, oil burning and improve MPG. A clogged one increases pressure in the engine which causes oil leaks.
