picked up plywood for work and transported home, used the 4R with the kiddos instead of the work van cuz it’s funner. had buddy at the lumber yard rip a 5/8” sheet

 

Finally got some dirt therapy in after a long wait. Wildfire haze has Pike's Peak muted out in the background, but it was still a beautiful day out there.

A 2010 TE. Nice . I bought a black one brand new back in 2010 and sold it in 2022 with a grand total of only 80K miles on it . Stupid me sold a never off road cream puff .

 

Finally gave Casper a bath. First one of the summer (I know -- late in the season). But wooo boy! The layers of dirt were pretty bad. Looks much better. Didn't do anything on the inside. Pretty much a lost cause it feels with a black interior.

 

Brother, you need to give that sidewalk & driveway a bath too. Get you a pressure washer and knock that out this weekend. You have yeaaaaaaaaaaaaars of grime/dirt built up.

 

I would, but the sidewalk belongs to the HOA/city and driveway was a neighbors. But the driveway at my house needs it. Badily.

 

Bought some stock size MT Baja boss at tires since it's tax free week in Ohio. $864 shipped to me, which I'll install them late fall.

When you eventually replace your windshield, be super clear that your pillars are Xpel'd and that any tear or cut will result in the entire roof piece being replaced.

This happened to me and thankfully, I went through the dealership and they made the windshield subcontractor pay for my Xpel replacement piece and labour.

 

I added a Taco Vinyl grill badge.

 

2010 to 2013 4R Trail roof rails installed on my 2024 Solar Octane.

 

Not a huge add on but huge for me in keeping the phone in place and freeing up airflow from the vent.

 

I think the front end of the '10-'13 is my favorite

 

I would like to hear how you like the OFFROAM holder. In fact, I was just about to post a thread asking anyone who has had this mount how they like it so far. Curious as to how secure it holds the phone. Does it move around any while driving?

It's actually great, I've driven with it everywhere and it's super solid. I also use the peak designs mag charger and phone case and use another mount for my radio I put together with a 20mm ball, aluminum spacers, and TacoGarage radio clip

 

I wish they have 1in ball mount option for Garmin products. When I contacted them last time they suggested me to buy an aftermarket ball mount converter.

 

Agree 100%. I finally bought one and installed it to hold my Garmin. The built-in GPS is worthless (I like to make my own routes and load them into the GPS) and I was tired of the Garmin holder using one of the cup holders. I had to buy a 20mm clamp and 20-17mm ball adapter so I could mount the Garmin. I know there are other mounts out there but I didn't want to take the dash apart and drill holes, etc. etc. I usually screw something up when I do stuff like that . I find it's a lot more solid than I thought it would be and the GPS is steady even over rough roads. I don't off road so can't talk about that. I definitely recommend it.

I think you can also get a 20-25mm ball adapter if that's what you need.

agreed but its a 1 and done purchasw with lifetime warranty. Very well made

 

Time to give the 4R a break and get in some water miles.

 

I just ran to garage and now I'm thinking to myself if I buy a smaller ram ball for the GarminInreach maybe I can fit directly to the phone mount.

 

Does the grip leave any marks on the dash? Been looking at getting one.

 

Bought these Coverado covers from Amazon and pretty impressed even though Amazon says these do not fit the 4R. Only thing bad is I probably won't be able to feel the seat warmers anymore.
