Any suggestions for a nice looking wheel that would pair well with the Toyo Open country a/t III?

Preferably black/gunmetal to match the metallic grey body paint

    Oooh look, another mod.....
Get the Pro wheel, in grey. They would look so pimp on your ride. Especially when wrapped in an aggressive tire.

Have you seen photos of metallic grey 4Runners with bronze wheels? I personally think it looks really sharp (of course I'm biased since my wheels are bronze). I used to love the look of black wheels on most every color truck, but now I think they are a bit drab and overdone. Not knocking anyone's tastes, it would be boring if we all liked the same things.

I have these first ones Dabigono showed, the Method 701's, and I love them. These are with the Toyo Open Country MT's (in 255/80R17).

I feel attacked haha. I know everyone has them but they look so good on white 4Runners and I couldn’t beat the July 4th price.

@Lc200 What center caps are those? Gotta say I like them more than the standard red TRD pro ones.

I have not seen any photos nor even considered that as an option but now I’m curious. I did a google search and they do look sweet. Not something you see every day so the truck will definitely stand out

Just joking, really. I do like the PRO wheels. I actually wanted them back when I had the Taco. I just ended up going a different direction because so many people go with the PRO wheels.

If you like the look of the Pro wheels just don't get them with the flat finish. Every rig I see them on they look like sh!t because they don't clean up very well (no flat paints do!). A gloss or semi-gloss finish will be much easier to keep looking sharp.

I have this thing about keeping wheels "in-house" - not necessarily the year or model, but same manufacturer. My 100 has tundra steel wheels, my '84 Pickup has '84 FJ40 wheels... So naturally, the Limited 20" wheels and minivan tires were replaced with different 4Runner wheels - the 17" gunmetal Pros.

I have these 701s in Bahia Blue and they are excellent wheels, but they will rub in reverse on the front liner so you'll need to re-punch a couple holes and push them forward. Good and bad, because the offset that causes the rubbing also fixes the stock tucked wheel look.

I'm a big fan of the stock alloy wheels if they would accommodate the tire of your choice. Otherwise, the lightest, least expensive and strongest wheel is the way to go, regardless of style or pattern.

I’m biased I really like Mickey Thompson classic quality wheels. My 17x9 Mickeys are Matte finish but flawless (been over 3 yrs)
17x9 isn’t for everyone but give Mickeys, or SCS a look imo

Yes forged. I know, not technically what the OP was asking about but still the nicest wheels I’ve had.

I really like the Pro Wheels. Plus, you know they're going to be good quality and that they'll fit correctly. It's also really hard to find a 7-in wide wheel if you want to run a skinny tire, and I feel like those are probably the best option if you want to run a 255/80.

I bought a set of them brand new in black for f 600 bucks back during that big sale Toyota had a few years back, I ended up changing my mind and selling them a few months later, now I regret it.
