Considering Adding a 4x4 Emblem

Has anyone added a 4x4 Emblem (peel and stick style) to their T4R? I’m toying with the idea of adding it to my tail gate, like maybe near the lower left or lower right corner.

If anyone has, where did you get your emblem? Interested in one with a chrome finish to match the factory 4Runner name on the tail gate.

Bad idea? Leave it alone? lol. I was just thinking it would help distinguish it from being a rear wheel drive only model.

 

99% of other drivers are not going to pay attention or care if you are 2wd or 4wd.

I bought the retro Land Cruiser style 4 Wheel Drive badges,

I put the black one on the left side of tailgate on the 2024 Pro, the black matches the blacked out trim pieces
I put the cream colored one on the left side of the tailgate of my 2000 Silver SR5

Is the ONLY 4Wheel drive badge I would ever consider slapping onto my SloRunner. Especially since my ride already had a retro look, so this badge would probably look like it belonged.

OP, I think you should an ironic badge for your ride, like "PHEV" or "Hybrid". Don't fit in, stand out!

No, it's from 70's model Toyota's. Mainly the FJ's.

The 3rd gen tacoma has a 4x4 emblem on the tailgate. Atleast my 2016 did. I removed it along with all other emblems and decals for a cleaner look.

I put a trd emblem on my 4runner hatch. It took me a while but I like it now.

Just remember the more emblems or stickers you put on your 4r make it easier to single you out.

Anyone who’s played with badges knows that getting separate letters spaced and aligned properly is kind of a pain. Why not opt for a 1-piece 4WD chrome badge instead? That would be in keeping with the vintage badge shown above.


I saw a bunch of them on Amazon. I thought this one would be interesting in light of the new 4cyl engine in the upcoming 6th gen.

 

It's already got "4" in the name.

I added one of the retro Land Cruiser emblems to my rear bumper - it works well on the flat steel surface, and is holding up pretty well so far.
